Happy with this for what we needed.
I bought this because I needed the catch for the antique hardware that is on one of our doors. We live in an historic house so I really wanted something that would blend in seamlessly and not look out of place. This works perfectly for our needs. It arrived quickly and the whole piece was of very good quality. Good value for the dollar.

Great latch - Cheap screws
I would have given this product five stars except for one issue and that is the weak, slotted screws that come with the latch. The latch itself is great-looking and of good quality. It has a sort of rustic, hand-forged appearance and is substantial in weight. The screws, however, are weak and bent when I started trying to screw them into the pilot holes that I pre-drilled in the wood I was working with. Also, the fact that they are slotted rather than Phillips makes them more awkward to deal with. I ended up tossing all the cheap screws that were included with the latch and bought new ones with a Phillips head and had no further problems. Just a warning so you can be prepared.

Used this latch on our playhouse
Used this on our playhouse to keep the door from swinging open all the time. It works great. It’s super sturdy and standing the test of time with us having 4 kids and all their friends in and out a million times. The metal is thick and strong.
