Tina Turner Live in Amsterdam: Wildest Dreams Tour - DTS

I've been a fan of Tina's since she was with Ike. She has more talent in her little finger than most of the present-day female singers I've heard. She's "simply the best--better than all the rest..."I saw her live in concert in the 80's, and while it was a great performance that I'll never forget, the Live in Amsterdam one tops the one I saw. She sang some songs I've never heard her sing before, and that was refreshing. I also loved it when she sat down and belted out several songs. Even sitting down, that woman telegraphed so much energy!There's only one song of hers that I can't stand, and that's "What's Love Got to Do With It?" So I was happy that she didn't lead with it. Other than that, all the rest of the songs were wonderful and, of course, her rendition of "Proud Mary" cannot be beat.If you're a Tina Turner fan, and you don't get any other DVD of her performances, get this one. You won't be disappointed.

This DVD came out roughly 3-4 years after I got to see Tina live in New York City in 1993. This was around the time of the movie "What's Love Got to Do With It, " and Tina was a stunning 53 years old! Gliding across the stage for two hours in spike heels as if she were on rollerblades--something you have to see to believe--what a fireball of a show she gave that night! I have had the privilege of seeing many great performers but Tina Turner remains one of the VERY best and it's no stretch to say that it can't be topped! Then, as now, I felt that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and enjoy a legend in her supposed "twilight."I recently purchased and watched "Wildest Dreams" and this live show given in Amsterdam brought back the glorious memory of that incredible show at Jones Beach in NYC. The only (very slight) disappointment of the DVD is the section when Tina decides to sit and sing two or three of my all-time favorites from her: "Let's Stay Together," "Steamy Windows" and "Undercover Agent for the Blues." At Jones Beach, she performed the latter two showstoppers with her dancers--you haven't lived until you've seen her outdance two girls that could pass for her daughters in an opening stunner like "Steamy Windows." Simply amazing! It's safe to say that people half her age and younger could not keep up with the manic energy, exquisite choreography and sexiness she projects. So seeing her on the DVD, performing those sizzlers while seated was a bit of a letdown--especially since she could barely contain herself even while seated! Despite this, "Wildest Dreams" is almost letter-perfect (No words can quite describe her electrifying performances of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love," "Do what you Do" and her signature "Proud Mary" here). This DVD captures with perfect clarity the astounding prowess of one of the most generous and giving performers ever to grace any stage in ANY genre. . . .

I do like Tina and have several of her albums... though I freely admit I got this partially because of one of her band members on that tour (Tim Cappello). Concert is excellent. Really enjoyed it as I never got to see Tina perform live (wish I had).

The artist from my generation are not performing or have deceased. These videos provide a nice concert to the past. Product in good condition and on time.

Tina Turner : Live in Amsterdam, Wildest Dreams TourI waited about a month to receive this concert , was looking forward to watchr it . The DVD is damaged therefore couldn't see it , now the hassle of returning it. It was not cheap either!! Paid 67.98 I was very disappointed !

This is it! The ultimate tina turner in her pomp dvd to buy, i have others but as tina sings.. This one is simply the best. All the hits good loud clear sound, excellent picture quality, fantastic concert and tina looking stunning, A must buy.

This is the best of the best . I love this DVD . The music is brilliant and the sound is fantastic. I watch this every few weeks . I love TINA TURNERmusic. In my younger days had TINA TURNER tapes in the car with a big amplifier . Now I am still listening to her music .

Its another Fantastic concert from Tina its a must to have and see for her fan's. Arrived well on time and very good value for money,well presented and parceled up well done team's and thanks!!!
