They Do What They're Meant To Do...
...but be prepared to make a modification or two. Peening the ends of the pins isn't an intuitive method of installation, and from a less-than-stellar peening job on my part, one of my pins immediately slid out of the oar lock and fell into the lake, so I'll never get it back.So forget the pins and do what I did: buy a small package of 10-24 x 2 1/2" machine screws with nuts; they cost about a dollar at Walmart. Set your oar in the oar lock, then slide one of those machine screws through both tines of the oar lock, and then secure the screw with a nut and tighten it. Done! Now your oar's never popping out!You can come up with your own cotter pins to secure the oar locks in their mounting holes. I used a couple of 1/8" Quick Links for mine; they're cheap too.

Good luck.
They seem to be durable. The problem I had is that they did not come with instructions. I could not figure out how the pins stayed in place. You have to HAMMER or peen the smaller end of the pin a little flat AFTER it is through the oar. Be careful though, don't pound it too hard or the pin will bend and if you miss you could damage the oarlock itself. Good luck.

Oar locks work good BUT
To start with, the price is right and they work very well. The only thing that I would suggest is a softer metal pin. The idea is to peen over the end of the oar lock pin to hold the oar to the horn. You have to beat it pretty hard with a hammer to get it to peen over and eventually it did, but I can see that someone might miss hitting the pin and hit the horn and break it. If you can get through peening over the pin properly, they work good.

For lightweight use
For a small rowboat up to 7' or non-agressive rowing. Great spare or emergency oarlocks. They are nicely finished and shine in the sunlight. I use brass oarlocks on my 15' rowboat with 7' oars and I lift the boat out of the water when rowing.

Good, function and great looks
These oarlock horns were a little too short for the bases built into the aluminum skiff but that wasn't an issue. A plastic covered wire attached to the insert's base attached to a washer wider than the insert ID was a quick and easy way to ensure they don't fall out, without impeding the action of the oars........if and when they may be needed, in case the outboard quits.

Photo of specifications
I have no review since I haven't used these Shoreline Marine chrome Zamak oarlock horns yet (I was required to give a star rating, so I chose 3), but since the dimensions are key to choosing a product like this, I'm sending a photo of the back of the package, which has them shown clearly on a figure. Also, the manufacturer figure doesn't show it, but I measured the distance of the narrowest place between the horn tips, that is, where the oar would have to fit through when setting it into these horns and it is 1.75 inches, as one would expect since these are rated to be used with 1.75 inch oars.

THEY FIT
These are great but I didn't check the diameter of the ore and they were a little bit to big. They do work thought,

The pins that go across the top that would appear ...
The pins that go across the top that would appear to lock the oar in have no fastening mechanism. The pins can just fall/slide out, there is nothing holding them in place. I really don't understand the point of them.
