This is ideal for those who enjoy hobbies such as working with thin wood, plastic or other ‘softer’ material as anything tougher the way this works would be a little frustrating after a while. The main part is basically a handle like a screwdriver really, there’s no battery or electricity to get the drill bits working. It’s all done by hand, which is why working with thicker material could cause trouble. The handle is short, 120mm, with the end rotating in order to help get the drill bit moving without losing the pressure you’re using. The drill bits are many, 2 of each size from 0.8mm to 3mm with 10 bits having colour coded rings. These range from 0.3mm to 1.2mm (The 0.3mm one has already snapped for me, and with very little pressure on it too – so be careful with these delicate bits. As for the clamp itself, this is quite good indeed, even better when screwed onto a work service so it doesn’t move – which is the preferred method for me. The turning wheel was a little stiff to begin with but soon loosened over time. With the orange release button working as it should. The orange grips are easily moved, although you will need a cross-head screwdriver to do this. But they spread out enough to be able to grip many small things. And they grip well to keep it in place whilst working on. In all, a fine little kit for those whose hobbies include such things as model making, using bolster wood, matchsticks or lollipop sticks as this really does work well with small, lightweight jobs.

Just received my order but not happy as one arrived broken which is typically the one I needed. Not impressed.

The package is a mini vice with mini hand drill along with small precision drill bits. Ideal for arts and crafts as you often need to make tiny precision holes which would be at best awkward with bigger sized drills. Works well and is ideal for smaller more precise drilling. Can't comment on value as no published selling price at time of review due to availability on Amazon.

The “Pin Vice and Hand Drill Set” from CYLBAQ is a handy little miniature hand-drill set predominantly for use with arts and crafts and the like. The set isn’t a fancy branded set or anything like that. Instead, it feels more like something you’d pick up at the market or the like. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something to be aware of should you be purchasing this as a gift for someone. The overall quality of the miniature hand-drill and vice is surprisingly good. Yes, it’s cheap and cheerful, but the actual construction of the drill in particular is pretty darn solid. In use the hand-drill works very well. I do a lot of DIY projects around the house, so having this on hand is great. I can certainly imagine if you have a model building hobby, or make jewellery or something like that, then a miniature hand-drill like this will be an absolute godsend. The drill is a purely manual one, whereby you turn the drill by hand, holding the headstock the whole time to keep the positioning. This makes it ideal for use on wood or plastics, but not so great with metals etc. Furthermore, the included drill bits feel and look a tad cheap, so are potentially likely to snap or wear out quickly if used on harder materials. However, for the price, and the overall quality of the drill itself and the small but effective vice it comes with, I’m still very impressed. Great to have on hand for smaller, more intricate jobs around the house, or fixing things. Really happy with this set.

This hand drill set isn't the best quality, I'll admit, but they're sharp enough to do for the time being. I imagine it'd be a good kid for beginners - you can figure out which sizes you like / use the most and can upgrade those gradually. If you're a budding jewellery maker, it's definitely worth getting one of these as the sizes will be ideal for the vast majority of the wires and findings you may end up using.
