This product makes skimming the fat from all my recipes quick and easy. Stainless makes for easy clean up and long life. This will last a lifetime. Wouldn't cook with out it!

It is a ladle that helps separate that top layer of fat from the stock. It has one purpose and it serves it well.

Good help in cooking

This ladle is easier to manage than my other one. NexTrend Stainless Steel Fat Skimming Ladle felt just right as I used it to the first time the other day to skim fat from bone broth. Prior to cooking I always trim fat as much as possible. However, the fat in a bone or meat broth/stock needs to be skimmed anyway. I like the idea that there is an opening for the "good" broth/stock to return to the pot while the fat remains in the "bowl" of the ladle. My experience was that it felt easier to separate the fat when the ladle was half full. That was good for "moi" with the first use. With continued use most likely I will be able to skim with the full ladle.NexTrend Stainless Steel Fat skimming Ladle is a very good cooking tool. I am pleased with this purchase.

To skim the fat this way must require some technique that I can't master!
