I bought these as an avid coffee drinker to help prevent teeth strains. Over the last few months I've moved onto using them with pretty much all drinks. As a reusable alternative to metal straws, this is a very nice alternative. Although I do have a couple of bug bears. First off, CLEAN THE STRAW THOROUGHLY when using these for the first time as I found a piece of hard plastic in one. My guess is it's from the manufacturing that hasn't been removed properly. Most of the straws were fine, but this is something the manufactures need to avoid for the safety of their customers. Secondly, there is an initial plastic-y taste that either I have gotten used to now or diminishes after a couple of uses. At first I was concerned I was drinking in traces of silicone, but after a while I do think is just the taste of the straw itself. I don't notice it at all now, but it might be off putting to some. As for durability, well it's silicone. Unless you're exposing the straws to very high heat, they're probably going to last a fair time. If you are an excessive chewer, it may wear the straw out more quickly. It's also probably best to make sure the straw is completely clean and dry before storing it away as mould and other nasties might cling to it. I've been reusing one straw for the last few months so it's probably safe to say I will not need to purchase more for quite a while. I'm the only one who uses the straw, so using some washing up liquid and hot water works fine. I do make sure to rise through the centre until the water runs clean though. The pack does not come with a straw brush, which it probably should, but I've managed to keep it clean so far without one. That said, it suits my needs and does the job fine.

Perfect plastic straws, each lasts really well with regular use, they are durable, easy to clean, and the perfect width, not too wide not too narrow - just right. Not suitable for hot drinks as they are plastic but any other drink they are great. So happy with them I brought a pack for the car too. Overall highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality reusable set of straws.

Perfectly paired with a mason jar drinking glass. I use these for my everyday iced coffee and ice water. Easy to clean with the included pipe cleaner. Would buy again!
