The Most Perfect Travel Backpack Ever Invented!
I LOVE THIS BACKPACK! A coworker let me borrow hers for a business trip and after that, I knew I had to get my own. The main selling point for me was the "FlyBy" laptop compartment that is TSA-approved, but the rest of this bag is pretty spectacular too. I cannot believe how much stuff fits in here. It is: well-made; sturdy; comfortable; convenient; and big enough to stash a couple of outfits and my purse in addition to the laptop, tablet, Kindle, folders, snacks, etc. It fits nicely under most airline seats as well as in the overhead bin. I love all the pockets, both zippered and non-zippered. The mesh, elastic pockets on the side are great for a bottle of water within reaching distance. The zippered pockets under the elastic pockets are a great place to stash my wallet for easy access to my money/license. The clip on the front (back?) is terrific for attaching my neck pillow. The small zippered pocket on top is perfect for those smaller items you want to access easily (lip balm, gum, etc.). The top handle is reinforced with cable so it can take the wear and tear of a heavy load. There is a place to fit it over the extended handle of a rolling suitcase as well. The straps are nicely padded to add comfort. I cannot say enough great things about this backpack. It may not be the prettiest piece of luggage I own, but it is quickly becoming my favorite. My boyfriend is a bit jealous and asked to borrow it for his upcoming business trip. I would recommend this to everyone!

Best Quality Back Pack you can find under $80
Great back pack, chest strap a must have when you buy any back pack keeps it from falling off ur shoulder, also you can use the pull straps from the front to tighten the back pack while you have it on and release them to take it off so easy on and off. Lots of zippered compartments, 2500 cubic inches of space. great day pack or travel pack. plenty of loops to add extra gear if you need it, lap top friendly TSA assess ability. Heavy duty padded carry handle just grab and go.. As with anything else I buy online I will research it a week or so. I feel this is another great buy if your looking for a top notch back pack and under $80...Will fit Large adults and teenage kids straps are very adjustable. Excellent!!!!!

Nice pack.........
Used this as carry on during two month road trip. I packed an ASUS 15.4 ROG, which are a little heavy. I also packed releated cables , a camera, power inverter. I thought for sure I would find a tear somewhere but havent yet. Strong top handle made of steel cable which wont fail but where it attaches to the material might be a weak point. I did hear a slight ripping sound once when i picked it up by the backpack straps but couldnt find the damage. Zippers are strong. Plenty of room to store things. Easy to get computer out when going though Airport checkpoints.I have two of the matching pieces of luggage and one had tears in the fabric from rough baggage handling and the other shows no signs of damage yet. Overall very usefull. Might wear better with a lighter computer or not putting as much in it but there is so much room you will feel like you should fill it up.

This is a good "hybrid" with that intent
I used this for a recent trip to Alaska for which I wanted a combination trail backpack and side piece for flight that would carry computer, tablet, and e-reader, along with snacks for the plane. This is a good "hybrid" with that intent. The soft rubber handle is terrific for carrying off-shoulder. It fit under the seats of 737's very well, even when reasonably full. What keeps me from a five-star rating? I agree with others that it has threads which may not be a good indicator of long-term sturdiness. It is not as comfortable as other backpacks; not bad, just a bit stiff. The trolley strap mesh to fit the bag over rolling luggage handles is snug and you need to reach quite far to get the retractable handle when deployed. I also agree that another compartment or two inside might help with storage. Lastly, I would say the "checkpoint friendly" configuration is OK in the States; it was not allowed in Canada and this is apparently true in other countries. You sacrifice some storage for that optionality, which might not be worth it if you travel abroad. Overall, this is a well-designed bag with good material that would probably keep content dry during rain/snow. Zippers are good and again, the grab handle is terrific. Pros outweigh cons but I cannot speak to long-term durability or comfort. Another point after some use--the bag does not have a contrasting interior. That can make it tough to identify objects or storage devices.

So good I bought another.
This is my 2nd one of these. The first one last about 15 years. Total travel bag. Nearly indestructible. Full of zippered compartments. I like everything about it. The original bag suffered a zipper failure. I thought about having a new ine installed because it was in that good a shape. But I decided to get a fresh one. I searched through tons of options on line and couldnt find one with the same set of features. I really like how it slides onto the extended handle of my suitcase. Also the steel cable reenforced top handle. Also has very durable fabric.

Durable and Dependable Backpack/computer bag/carry on
Overall this bag has been great! I recently purchased it in order to replace a backpack I was traveling with, that just wasn't big enough to hold everything. The bag arrived just in time before I traveled to the West Coast. I was able to pack my laptop, cords, and usb port cables conveniently. The organozed pocket wprked well. The other 3 divided parts of the bag were great to handle documents, and carry on items (Nike Hoodie, blanket, Meds for the week, and so on...) Probably the only draw back is that it is so big and roomy it can cause you to overpack your carry on. It was simple to get through TSA with the bag. I did not leave my laptop in the laptop area. I pulled it out. I didn't want to be held up by TSA lines. So, I'm not sure if the feature of leaving the laptop inside and seperating the bag to divide actually works to get through TSA. The only other complaint is that its not very comfortable on the back, while carry. No matter how light or heavy it is. It just causes you to lean forward and walk funny, which if not careful can cause back pain. I'm pretty ruff on backpacks. So, I was worried about the straps holding up. So, far I've not had any issue. I used it for 6 days in California while exploring and traveling around the state.

Last backpack you'll ever need
Bought this backpack 10 years ago when I started to travel frequently for business. Put it through all kinda abuse and it's still my daily backpack today. It's light weight, comfortable, extremely durable, and has more capacity and compartments than you'd expect. It's the last backpack you'll buy (sorry Amazon)

Unreliable/Short lived
Why This Bag? This bag was a temporary replacement for my Everki Titan that was being replaced through Everki's lifetime warranty. The Titan zipper malfunctioned after a year long stent of weekly flying and travel across the USA. The researched a less expensive replacement and found this High Sierra backpack and thought it was a wise purchase. Short Life, No Durability: I loved this backpack and it had so much potential. I received this bag at the end of July 2017, by end of August 2017 the bag is beginning to fall apart. Heavy Use: I travel weekly for business which puts any backpack through its paces each and every day. I didn't expect the seams to start falling apart this quickly, very disappointing. Return: It is too late to return to Amazon so I will try the manufacturer. The design of the backpack is great with a few exceptions. Some Uglies: The backpack will not setup by itself, it will topple over forward required thought to where and how you sit the bag down, else you will be picking it up. Since there is no padding at the top, computers get damaged when the bag falls and hits on its top. Lacking organization pockets inside: Very difficult to see inside the bag, especially deep down inside so you should have a flashlight if you are planning on finding smaller, darker items in the bottom of the main compartment. Some Good Stuff: I like the zippers and main compartments and I loved the separate zipper compartment for the iPad, making it easy to find and quickly accessible while offer great protection. TSA Friendly
