Q: Number of reviews mention this flash drive getting hot rapidly. Is this listed item an upgraded version which addressed that issue?

My USB drive got extremely hot and seriously lagged my computer. This is due to I/O hangs due to bad memory locations in the flash devices which is totally normal. At this amazingly awesome price point, the factory is not formatting it. So all you have to do is format the drive (over night). I had a house fan blowing on it during the format. Now the drive is slightly warm when doing a full backup and lags my laptop not.

No cap - it is one piece -no moving parts nothing slides in or out no cap it just plugs straight in to the usb port as is

Q: What is the writing speed? i want to run alternative operating systems on usb like remix os and linux distros. i need at least 20 mb/s writing speed.

I have the 128 GB and the 16 GB. Both tested on several computers. At larger file transfers the writing speed goes down to 5 MB/s and even stops completely for some time. Desperately I tried all Windows file systems - there was pretty much no difference. I have so many SD cards and sticks - this product has the worst write performance I have ever seen.
