To rate this pen, the reviewer should consider the reasonable price. I have several dozen pens in use, some much more expensive, and only a few cheaper. I had always worked with Lamy Vista pens, and I like them still. They do however cost 20 dollars more than this pen. I believe the Feeney clear demonstrator has a few advantages over the more expensive pens-First is the converter mechanism which is very easy and allows you more control of the color. In addition this pen takes STANDARD ink cartridges, where the Lamy and some more expensive pens require their own special cartridges-and these include Parker, Schaeffer,, and Pilot pens. AS to how it works, I am amazed at the consistency in ink flow, something that is seldom true in other pens filled at the ink well. I have also noted that even the fine point pen does not tear up the paper beneath it. For-the record it is a great pen and has many uses. I will buy more!

What a nice fountain pen! I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it writes even on regular paper.I would consider the nib to be bold. I love that it comes with a converter (and clear instructions) so you can use whatever ink you like. The pen comes in a nice black cardboard box; would make an excellent gift.I thought I was receiving a black ink cartridge, but is is a transparent blue ink. I don't mind since I will be using my own inks anyway with the converter.I received two emails from Feeny thanking me for my purchase, and offering help if needed. That was lovely too.Even at $40, this is a great deal. So when it's on sale, this pen is a no-Brainer.

The title states everything. This and the other two Feeneys I purchased arebeing returned. Mr Feeney should be embaassed for this scam.

I had high hopes for this pen. It is very comfortable to hold. It is not "too small" while at the same time not "too big". The problem is that it just does not write well at all. I don't know if the problem is the ink or the pen itself. The ink just does not flow right. You get gaps in your writing, and it is just too annoying to mess with. I was really disappointed.

This pen is fantastic! I was looking for a replacement for my other Lamy pen that had seen better days.This pen was just what I was looking for! The tip writes smoothly without interruptions, and looks amazing!The body is well made and has been holding up through daily use.

Nice pen if you get it for under 10 bucks (shipped) like I did. I see the current price is close to the Lamy Safari price, which is too much I think. Took a bit less than 3 weeks to ship from India. Came with cartridge, which filled up nicely, and off it goes. I haven't had leakage problems. Writes like my other fine stainless steel nib pens ... no better, no worse. We shall see if it is as reliable as my Lamy Safaris have been ... so far, so good.

I am a first time Feeney buyer. Very good pen for the price. Writes surprisingly smoothly. Pen arrives in a nice, sturdy box with a converter, extra cartridge, and instructions for fountain pen newbies. Follow-up email from Feeney after purchase indicates attention to detail.

The pen seems low quality for the price. The plastic seems flimsy and, for nearly $20, should be made of a more durable, heavy material. The internal ink chamber is also loose and doesn't fill to complete capacity. Overall, I'm not impressed with this pen and wouldn't recommend spending more than $5 on a pen of this quality.
