Techko Kobot RV218 Robotic Vacuum Hard Floor Only

The media could not be loaded.  The trick to getting a $50 robo-vacuum is expectation and utilization. I have a nice robo-vac for my home, but I needed something for the balcony. If I’m already going to be lazy and vacuum manually only once a month I may as well extend that to my balcony.After 5 minutes I was going to Clean it, pack it away, and return it. With its loud noises and randomness I couldn’t help but be reminded about the ancient sand people of Tatooine. Sometimes it’ll drive in reverse for a few feet in the same path it went forward. Obviously trying to ride single file to hide it’s true navigation path.I expected a “dumb” bot, and that it was, but after watching it for a bit... I realized that these navigation points are too accurate for sand people. Only imperial stormtroopers can be so precise. I continued to watch it in amazement until I realized: This robot holds the true secret formula for chaos/drunkard’s walk. I wonder if Mlodinow programmed this thing.I dressed the robot up in uniform and took a video and a picture. I leave it for over an hour on the balcony when I get home from work. Sometimes it cleans it like the balcony is an unnamed rebel extra; wiping out everything. However, sometimes it cleans like the balcony is a main character; at best grazing it. I was expecting a dumb bot, I was expecting a not so powerful vacuum, and I’m only using it for the balcony. So why three stars? Because the product is incomplete. I had to buy it’s storm trooper uniform separate; and it doesn’t play the imperial march. That I had to do from my laptop as I watched it.

Love the concept of this item...It is fun to watch it at work, however, I cannot get it to hold a charge for more than 3 minutes. I hook it up to charge over nite & when I push the power button it clicks on then immediately turns off. I opted NOT to buy the extended warranty for an additional 8 dollars and so now I'm stuck with a 100.00 robot that did less than an hours work because the seller show to have a NO RETURN policy on this item.My suggestion....spend the extra 8 dollars for the warranty if you choose to purchase this product. Mine could just be the one out of 1000's that is defective but I might as well just given 100 dollar bill to the homeless person standing on the street corner cause that's about how much work I got out of this robot.

I use two of these with an old roomba in the basement. They don't last very long nor can they handle uneven surfaces well, but they do a decent job for the areas they can cover.

Works well to pick up hair, but battery only lasts a few minutes. It can only clean a tiny portion of my living room before it runs out of battery even after charging all day.***Update: I purchased two of these and they both died within a few months and doesn't work anymore - and I've only lightly used the devices (probably less than 10x for the first device and less than 5x for the 2nd device). I've had better luck with Roomba's - they're more expensive but at least you don't have to buy multiple devices and have them break within a few months. Both failures are probably battery related as the battery life was so short when I first bought the devices, and the battery doesn't seem to pick up charge anymore no matter how long I charge them.

Works great on tile but the battery dies after one use. I had it charging for a whole day before using it...

Good, but cannot clean pet fur off of hardwood.

I would give this product a zero, if there was such rating. This is a cheaply made product. It has very poor suction power, it is noisy. Way overpriced, in fact, i would not sell this product. Do not recommend!!

This product is better, improved from a previous version I had. I bought this one since the battery died on the other one I had. It runs for a long time on a single charge and the dirt cup mechanism and top of the machine are vastly improved.
