Nice brush works on curly hair well not pulling

We LOVE this brush for times that I need/want to pull my daughters curly hair back into a ballet bun or top pony. It’s exclusively what we use it for as I would think it would “wreck” her natural curls the day we used it. She has natural, spirally curly hair as evidenced by the first (and hopefully last) self haircut she gave herself. If you’re looking for a brush to get all hair to lay flat against the scalp, this brush is for you!

Wanted to love this brush. Pros: easy to clean Con: synthetic boar bristles pull and roughen hair instead of smoothing like natural bristles. The longer nylon bristles are fine, but unremarkable.

This is the best brush I have used for styling my hair. It’s extremely easy to get the right tension for my curls to turn ribbon-like, as if I was curling actual ribbon with a scissor blade. I do wish there was a bit more weight in the handle, as it feels a bit flimsy and difficult to control when I do back sections of my hair. Still, I have had the best results styling my hair with this brush over other brushes I have (Denman brush, paddle brush). An essential tool in my opinion. Must use on detangled hair though - the bristles can cause breakage if you’re too rough and try to detangle knots with it.

Well, it doesn't keep my curls. BUT it also, miraculously, doesn't frizz up my hair. I have loose curls and I was hoping for a brush that would keep those intact and this certainly did not, but my hair is frizz free. It's so frizz free it's like I'm supposed to have straight hair. It's kind of wild. Who needs a hair straightener anyways??

We already have a couple REAL Boar Bristle Brushes in our family. They work great for untangling Long or Curly hair without damaging the hair or pulling and yanking your hair out. There are two rows of bristles on this brush, short and long. The short bristles are usually made of some type of animal hair, Boar, Squirrel etc... hens the name Boar Bristle. The longer bristles are made of nylon or plastic. ••• Cruelty-Free, Vegan? ••• You gotta love the marketing people for this brush. The short hairs on this brush are made of a synthetic material, most likely plastic or nylon. They are stiffer than the other real Board Hair brushes we have but tend to do the same job. Rather than calling the short hair bristles "Synthetic or Plastic" it sounds better for marketing to call to call them Cruelty Free, and Vegan ... meaning they are not real animal hair like other Boar Bristle brushes. In addition to the bristles being plastic/nylon they entire brush is made of plastic, nylon and silicone rubber. The open ended back and plastic body make this brush much lighter than similar wooden handled brushes which can be good or bad depending on the user. The open back is a dust, dirt and debris collector. It really doesn't make the brush any easier to clean in my opinion. Overall this "Synthetic" Boar bristle brush work and is very similar to real animal hair, Boar Bristle Brushes. All the ladies that have tried this brush like it. Some like it better due to the lighter weight while most prefer the real Boar Bristle Brush with the wooden handle and solid back. For $23 this Curly Hair Solutions brush is not cheaper than other genuine Board Bristle Brushes ... they generally sell for between $20-$30 also. The claim of a Vegan hair brush is an interesting one since you are not going to eat this thing. Same goes to animal cruelty? We shave the hair on our dog every 6 weeks and that's not considered being cruel. The same would apply to this brush. If anything a Board Bristle Brush with Real Boar Hair and Wooden handle would be more natural and greener on the environment then one made of Synthetic Materials and Plastic. Whether you choose to purchase this 'Synthetic' Boar Bristle Brush or a Real Boar Bristle the thing you need to know most is these brushes WORK and do a good job at untangling hair and minimize static. I would recommend this brush however I prefer more natural products and would lean toward the real boar bristle brushes with wooden handles and closed backs. That's just my personal preference.

Amazing! I bought this brush for my daughter and it works perfectly with her hair. She has different textures so it's been difficult finding something that works. This takes out the knots but keeps the curls. She doesn't fuss as much getting her hair combed anymore! Love this brush!
