My RV toilet would not hold water in the bowl. After replacing the gaskets all is good now. Fairly easy to install

Genuine Thetford part that is designed properly
Well, I ordered a Chinesium ball valve replacement kit that came with it's own gasket. It was super tight and didn't work properly due to lack of flexibility. The ball looked like it would work, so I got this to try. Right away, I could tell it was more supple and flexible, and paid attention to the directions. This kit comes with white washers that MUST be installed between the base and bowl sections after this seal is replaced to maintain proper spacing. My toilet now works perfectly, I should have stuck to Thetford-made parts.

This is a great RV DIY project if you have a few basic tools. You can find DIY videos to help with the install. The last time my toilet seal failed, the RV repair folks sold me an entirely new toilet for north of $200. This time, I just bought a new seal for $20 and spent 45 minutes to change out the seals. You need to take a bit of care to set the seal at the floor - make sure it is in the correct orientation and seated properly and test it for leaks when you flush. Put a little vaseline on the seal for the flush valve and it will last much longer.
