Beautiful moody blacks possible
Best Sumi blacks I know. Widest color gradient from blackest black to the lightest shades with water dilution. Green, blue and red are my favorites. Bought my second set so I won’t run out. Inexpensive and so useful. Wide pans let you dip the whole sides of Sumi brushes for broad gradient strokes.

Beautiful pigmented watercolors!
These are amazingly pigmented and bright, and so easy to work with. The colors are beautiful and have a rich thickness, and they move on the page like butter. They make a gorgeous palette. This is a high value, flexible palette. Great size. You get a lot of product in the pans, and it's so pigmented you don't have to use a ton to get good results. The paint dries fairly quickly, although heat still helps. The paint is also easy to clean from a brush. You basically just need to swish it in water.Swatches and testing done on a Canson Mixed Media Artist Grade 130lb sketchbook.

highly pigmented, easily rewetted, flimsy box
I recently decided to learn watercolors, so I bought this palette on a whim. Usually I have to let some water sit in the well for a while or mix it with my brush to get the pigments to rewet, but this palette was JUICY. A single dab gave me almost too much pigment, turning the color black unless I cleaned off my brush and used clean water to dilute and drag out the color. The colors once diluted are gorgeous. After attempting to build up color slowly by layering, I found that the layer underneath was very easily rewetted and would pick up and blend, even when using a single stroke on a completely dried area.It was packaged quite nicely, however, once all the plastic is gone, I found the box it came in quite flimsy. The lid specifically is too loose. I've tried to pick up the palette with the lid on multiple times and ended up dropping the bottom of the box and all the pans inside. I didn't dock any stars for this though because they can be easily moved to a different container or palette.Overall, I loved the colors in this palette and would recommend for dark moody pieces. I'm assuming because of the sumi properties, I was able to brighten up the base color while still keeping the rich black when opaque without muddying the color.

Solid Ink, Ink Colors
I used the Sumikundo 15452 Solid Ink, Ink 6 piece set the day after I received them. Lots of pigment in each pan, rich and earthy colors. Landscapes and trees, etc, I can visualize it all with these colors. A little bit of pigment on the brush goes a long way, just a bit of water and then swish, that’s my brush on rice paper very Happy!

Lovely, dynamic paints that should NOT be used professionally
These paints are amazing value. They wet easily, are very strongly pigmented, and move on watercolor paper like my Daniel Smith paints (quite expensive professional quality watercolor paints). I have used these for quite a few projects since I purchased the set and I have hardly made a dent in these pans. For $11 I cannot think of a better value set of paints for an aspiring landscape artist.HOWEVERThe red pigment used in these paints is fugitive (meaning it fades over time). This includes both the shadow red and shadow purple, which appears to be a multi-pigment mix of red and blue. I would wager that Boku Undo used Alizarin Crimson/PR83 for these paints, which is a notoriously fugitive pigment. Google "PR-83 lightfastness" for a decent idea of how the red and purple in this set will react to prolonged sun exposure. All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend these paints to any beginner. They are easy to use, mix well, and generate lovely washes. For the price, you are getting an incredible amount of high-quality paint. I love breaking these out for sketches or when introducing novices to watercolor. However, these are not artist-quality paints and should not be treated as such. I cannot recommend these paints for use in commissions or for any work you plan on exhibiting or selling.

Love the Muted Colors
I love this product, the paint pods are large and the products lasts a long time. The color dilutes into gorgeous muted themes. Ive bought a second because I like it so much; but I still have plenty of color to go.

Awesome rich color n quality, well worth the price.
The media could not be loaded. I wanted an old Pueblo color, and decided to try them out. I tried the bluish black on wood, n with one very diluted pass, i got what I was looking for. Two passes give a rich deeper color. Colors are extremely rich in texture and one drop of water went a long way. I love them, in my limited watercolor experience, n in my humble opinion, the watercolors can easily give a fight to the most expensive brands out there. Even when dry, it looks really good. I purchased another set in different color palette, can’t wait to try them.

Another wonderful set
I love Japanese watercolors. I brushed some of these colors over other watercolors after they dried. I will be able to create interesting Asian art with these.
