Q: Are there any tricks/suggestions for making the hanging rod a bit more sturdy to handle a little more extra weight without collapsing?

Yes absolutely, you can use tigh wire , or just a paper tape or packing tape or it will be stable and strong.. Thanks ..Maribel

Q: Is there anywhere that I can locate a replacement part? The bottom corner piecce came cracked and when we tried to put it together it fell apart .

Good luck! Mine arrived missing many connectors. The company messaged me and promised to send replacements, immediately. It has been over a month. I have looked in craft and hardware stores...nothing will work. My suggestion: junk it and purchase from another manufacturer.

My closet came with no flaws so I haven't had to report any issues. However, I would definitely request a replacement or a refund if it had.
