Assam Exotic, Summer black tea Smell, smooth, creamy, a little English Breakfast Taste, toasty, a slight dry finish, but not overwhelming. Samuel prefers with a little sugar and milk. Lauren says it reminds her of gingerbread and fall. Big cozy chair with a blanket watching leaves fall in Brown Co. After pumpkin chili. Lauren 7/10. Samuel 8/10 Himalayan White. 190° 4min Very light smell. A little like a mix of black and green. Taste, soft, "no accent" Prefer with a little sugar ...brings out more flavor A slight aftertaste that lingered for a few minutes. Lauren 6/10 Samuel 6/10 I think we could have used more tea and less water, but second steeping for 5 1/2 minutes was good too. Ayurvedic Herbal (green) 188° 7 min Sweet anise smell Taste: slightly sweet without any sweetner, pleasing anise flavor, slightly floral. A relaxing, enjoyable nighttime tea. Second steeping for 10 min, not as good as first, but not bad. Anise flavor much decreased. Samuel 7/10 Lauren 8/10 Daily Darjeeling 210° 4 min Standard black tea flavor, Lauren says it tastes slightly "red". Mild dryness. Enjoyable, but we had a hard time naming subtle flavors we noticed. 2nd steep for 5 1/2 minutes, still good Lauren 7/10 Samuel 7/10 Himalayan Breakfast 210° 4min Smooth, light black tea. Smooth finish. Enjoyable. Little to no aftertaste. Less robust than what we are used to in a breakfast tea. Lauren 6/10 Samuel 7/10 Earl Grey Citrus Very pleasant smell of citrus in the dry tea leaves. Once brewed, however, the citrus is barely noticeable, but does give a welcome, subtle twist to the standard Earl Grey flavors. The bergamot flavors are also subtle. Lauren 6/10. Samuel 7/10 Masala Chai 212° 4 1/2 minutes We were very excited to try this one. It smells wonderful. We taste spice, cloves, cardamom. Enjoyable and festive. Lauren preferred without milk, but with a little sugar. Samuel prefers milk and sugar. Lauren 8/10. Samuel 9/10 Himalayan Oolong 190° 4 min Nice big leaves. Pleasant smell to the dry leaves, reminds me of a mild black tea scent. One of the few teas I really enjoyed without milk or sugar. I don't have much experience with oolong tea, but enjoyed this, and will be trying more. Lauren says it seems like a darker green tea. Bold tea flavor, but no competing flavors. Lauren 7/10 Samuel 7/10 Himalayan Green. Standard green tea. Nondistinct flavor, agreeable with animal crackers. Samuel prefers with a little honey, but doesn't like green teas in general. Samuel 5/10 Lauren 6/10 Cardamom Chai 212° 5 min Strong spicy cardamom flavor. Distinctive and enjoyable. We love chai, and this was one our favorites. We had dark chocolate Milano cookies with the tea...fantastic combination. Samuel drank his second cup with milk and sugar, hood both ways! Second steeping enjoyable but not as strong. I bought this for a white elephant gift exchange and somehow it ended up in my gift pile by the end of the evening. Super glad it did! I've only tasted about half of the teas and I've quickly found a few new favorites. The Sweet Himalayan Green Tea is so delightful! I use about 1/2 of a bag to make a full pot of tea (about 32oz) so I probably dont make mine as strong as most people, but its so flavorful that it doesn't really need to be super strong. Favorite accidental discovery so far is that the Himalayan Green Tea (the non-sweet one) is fantastic cold! It was left out overnight because I made a pot & then wandered off, so when I found it again the next morning to make a new pot of tea I decided to just drink it. Im definitely going to order more for summer because it was super refreshing & didn't require anything extra like sugar or honey for extra flavor (so perfect for taking a walk or take to the park in a water bottle tea) 10/10 would order the assortment again for a friend; but for myself I'll probably be order the flavors I enjoyed directly instead :)

I ran across this tea sampler when I was looking for a way to set up my very own, custom tea-of-the-month type setup. I couldn't find an affordable club I limed, so I ordered this tea sampler, the Vahdam black tea sampler, and a package of drawstring pouches (reviewed separately), and had my kids put each sampler in a bag. Every month, I'll have one of them pull a random pouch, and that's my tea for the month. I plan to review each sample individually as I try it. This month's random selection was the Darjeeling. I've never tried Darjeeling before, so I had no idea what to expect. I was absolutely blown away! It's a very lightly flavored tea, almost floral, with a little bit of a smoky undertaste. Absolutely delicious, very high quality, and definitely a sipping tea. My seven-year-old daughter (who is very picky) absolutely loved it. I plan to order a full size package of this for myself in the near future, and I'm incredibly excited to see what the next sample I try is like. The second sample from this assortment was the Earl Grey. I was a bit apprehensive, sunce I've tried a number if Earl Grey teas before, and never liked them because of the overwhelming bitterness of the bergamot. I was very pleased to try it and discover that there is only the slightest hint of bitter to the bergamot, and the citrus perfectly compliments the tea selected for this blend. It's very plesant, especially with a drizzle of honey, and I was very pleased to be able to finish my cup. While Earl Grey will never be one of my favorite blends, I am incredibly happy to find one that I can enjoy.

Not only are these the freshest whole tea leaves I’ve ever used, the selection is amazing. Thea ware not “flavored” teas - the blends are composed only of full leaves and coarse ground spices. The best part was finding I love varieties I probably wouldn’t have picked out on their own. Every one was worth a repeat purchase. And at this price, share them with your friends! You get to try out a wide assortment and make a lot of cups from each (1 tsp per 6oz recommended, I use 2 tsp for a 16 oz mug. I found about 12-15 generous tsp per mini resealable bag). I’ve also run the tea strainer through a second mugful and noticed little difference. This very is high quality tea at a grocery store price.

Ich habe dieses Teeset als Geschenk bestellt und war sofort von der schönen, hochwertigen Verpackung angetan. Die Box wirkt stabil und ist fest verschlossen, daher habe ich sie nicht geöffnet und kann zum Inhalt selbst nichts sagen. Als kleines Geschenk macht das Set aber einen sehr guten Eindruck – die Gestaltung ist elegant, und die Verpackung sieht genau so aus wie auf den Produktbildern. Für alle, die etwas Kleines und trotzdem Besonderes verschenken möchten, finde ich dieses Set sehr passend.
