I wear hearing aids, and have looked for years for a stethoscope alternative that works with them. The One Digital Stethoscope fills the bill perfectly. The super quality ear buds they sent work fine with my hearing aids. The quality and clarity of the heart and breath sounds is amazing. The first unit I received had a problem. They responded to my email on Sunday afternoon, Monday sent paper work to return the scope, and by Friday I had a new one. Excellent customer service. I am a pediatrician, and the kids love this new high tech looking stethoscope. I can hear fine, even in uncooperative toddlers. If you wear hearing aids, or have some other reason to need a digital stethoscope, I think this one is excellent!

Design issues
First, I had to have this product to continue working AND be able to use my hearing aids (which I need to function). The major problem is the design of the diaphragm. It's not tight and you have to work to get it on a flat surface on curvy people (the numbers of which keep increasing). If you know your auscultation points and can find them easily it's a good product. I would like to redesign the head so that it was a bit easier to use. I even have ideas about the redesign!

Good
Works great, but I'm still figuring out how to NOT get noises from my hand holding the stethoscope in place while obtaining blood pressure readings. Nice and loud, portable size, easy to clean. I'm glad I bought this.

Worth every cent. Sound as crisp and loud as you hope for.
Psychiatry resident here this was just an splurge indeed still I love somatic medicine and cardiology is one of my favorite areas. I could not be happier.I like a lot medicine I just like more psychiatry and since many papers have proved that medical care recived by psychiatric patients tends to be infra-standard ( Because A; Some of our patients trust no other doctor but us, B; We ( Mental health professionals) tend to choose to forget medical knowledge ASAP as we can and stick to psychiatry and C; Sone of our somatic health colleges infra-value our patiens) contributing to the lower lfe expectancy of our patients, I decided I had to push hard and try to be as good a somatic doctor as I could.Of course I did not need this sthetoscope but I loved the concept and I could not resust trying. It’s proven to be awesomely helpful for an untrained ear. What I liked the most.a; The sound quality. I knew very well the theory but many of those diastolic murmurs and split sounds can be tricky to catch with regular sthetoscopes. With TL one heart and lung sounds are crisp and loud, the sound filtering helps a lot too. My first week I catched 1 r2 paradoxical split sound that eneded proving early stage diastolic heart failure, and one early stage aortic failure. It’s easy to work with these louder and crisp sounds if you have the theory in mind, you do not need hundreds of listening hours, knowing the theory is enough, you easily figure out the sounds if you know what you are looking for.B. The recording habilities. As you will undestand a first month psychiatry resident does not get much credit when he talks about complex diagnostic heart sounds in a psychotic patient , so I could just record the sounds and go and talk with the cardiologist who was allways excited to talk with the sounds in hand.C Being able to use a sound spliter and share the sounds with other doctors is awesome.D. The high quality build and design and that you are provided with everything you need including a nice case.- What I found tricky in the begining.a; The setting. I carry it in my pocket. Take it in an out of the case each time and having to deal with all the faces and questions was akwad. I can’t go with it ready to be used in the hospital thus I would be the weirdo of the expensive sthetoscope . ( For sure not a problem caused by TL but Spaniards nuance with people hoping to do their work better,)b; The little learning curve. THIS IS IMPORTANT. DO NOT PRESS THE STETHOSCOPE YOU WON’T HEAR A SINGLE SOUND. The best sound comes when the patient is laying flat and you rest the scope on the patients skin, if you do not touch the scope the quality is best. If the patient is siting, hold the scope by the cable and try not to move it. The sound comes magically crisp this way. If you press you get 0 sound thus the membrane collapses the sensor. Much much better over the skin than over the clothes. ( Bigger difference than with other scopes)What I did not like.- I would love a setting for carotid sounds. All 5 settings are hard to use trying to catch carotid murmurs because the sound of the air in the trachea overtakes everything. You learn to listen carefully and once you find the right spot you ask the patient not to breathe for a second. Without the trachea you get a crisp sound if there is murmurs.- it’s hard to learn to manage with the patient siting.- Finally for 500 dollars I expected to put it on the oatients scalp and hear every single though. Aparently that technology is not as good as I though. ( Silly joke).- Some have complain of the ambient noise. Sit the scope over the patients skin and do not touch it while you listen. I use it in regular bases in an Spanish ER room. ( Overcrowded public health system ER room filled up with Spaniards ( We are damn NOISY) and I have no problem that way. Also while you are sting the scope press the membrane with the finger any noise gets cancel that way and it does not hurt your ears. It’s a matter of learning curve the scope is able to do a good filtering you need to use it the right way.- I have used in the pass a litman 3200. I hated it, worthless piece of crap unable to do anything not even amplifying the sound. This one is so much better. Those two are things you can easily learn to come around. In my opinion is worth every penny. It makes your life eassier and I guess with time I will learn to catch even subtler stuff.

If used with the earphones, it works well. Do not try to use it with hearing aids via bluetooth connection: the bass is simply too low for hearing aids to pick up.

Where's the meat.
Not much improvement over the original electronic stethoscope I still have as far as function, still very susceptible to ambient noise unless in a laboratory. It does have a quirky app for your I phone that works ok, but for the price could buy a portable ultrasound. Good for last decade technology, the headphones are miserable- should be Bluetooth.
