BIG BANG FOR THE BUCK.... but packaging could be a little bit better...
THESE STANDS ARE A GREAT DEAL FOR THE PRICE POINT...I AM VERY PLEASED with these stands after several shows.. The workmanship and the quality is a bargain especially if you are pinching pennies. I would most definitely recommend this to those that are considering this purchase. (Read on..)HOWEVER... the stands in the bag are an Extremely tight fit (an extra half of an inch on the long side would be great). and the bag had very minor holes in it after transport (but bags are meant to be used)... the bubble wrap pops and the stands have contact with the material and the friction wore holes in the bag. I made the mistake of setting these stands (in the bag) across my speakers while laying on their backs and it chipped away some of the paint on the speaker grills. Long story but space was limited and had no other option. Other than the tight fitting bag and touching up speaker grills I am happy with the purchase and will be purchasing more of these in the future...Added Note: I will be reversing the one bolt that has the threads on the knob side of the upper trapezoid that controls the footprint of the stand, I tangled with the threads recently and although it did not draw blood or cause injury... Reversing it would minimize that chance.

Exceptional value
The deal looked good.. but I was also concerned that perhaps the product would be cheaply built to look like better products. I am very happy to report that was not the case. The product is of exceptional quality. The stands are extremely sturdy but lightweight, attractive, contain the safety locking pin (a must have feature). The stands alone were worth the price, throw in a very nice nylon gig bag that is also of exceptional quality and then you have a real steal. The bag alone goes for around 45-60 on amazon for similar product and it makes transporting these a breeze .. no more smashed fingers. Add to that the two cables and the deal is just unbelievable.

Good stands
Stands are impressively light weight yet they are very solid. If you are getting this product because it comes with a carrying case, let me tell you... the quality is very poor. I take really good care of my setup and my stuff. I had these ride in my trailer to about 7 gigs now and the bag is starting to tear, specially with the pointy stuff on the stands. also the zipper looks like its not going to last very long. that aside. The stands are excellent, they fit snugly around the base of the speaker and the speakers dont tilt down. I am using these stands to do wedding ceremonies and I am putting a pair of carvin passive speakers, which weigh about 40-50 lbs.I Have not used them at a party yet. or where they might encounter drunk people or kids running onto them. but I am very impressed on how solid they are.Another thing I would like to point out is that I dont crank the screws like all the way because they feel like if I put too much pressure on them they might break or snap. but that might just be me. I crank them to where they are tight enough.I also like the fact that they have a safety pin and the pin is attached to the pole so is hard to loose them. i would have given it 5 stars but the bag is to blame. i would have loved to spend 50 bucks on the whole thing with a bag that would hold. but now I guess im going to have to get me a gator gig bag which overall is going to bring the total investment on the stands to about 70 - 80 dlls.in short: good stands, if you can accept the fact that the bag is of very poor quality!!

Why are people bashing this thing?
It does what its made for at the price point. The travel bag it comes in is a very thin layer with no padding. But at 50 dollars I wasn't expecting to have the bag be premium quality. As for the rubber holder falling out, ive loosened it and literally tried to shake it out and it didnt come out.The screws that tighten the machine are again not of the highest quality as they are not easily screwed into place, but they work and do the job it was meant to do...tighten.Maybe people were just expecting too much? But I got what I paid for...plus it comes with a year warranty.I haven't used it in a gig yet to hold my speakers (which are coming this week) but Ill update this review when I get them.

Maybe A Good Buy ... However Packaging Is Extremely Poor
Bought two sets. Both arrived together and at the expected delivery date. I had bought two sets of the Pyle Pro PMDK102 months previously which also included a pair of 25ft 1/4" cabling from an Amazon dealer which arrived without problems. Initially, I noticed only a slight difference in the two models which centered around the way the adjusting clamp allowed for the extension of the center speaker poles. Personally, I think its easier to setup the Pyle Pro PSTK103. Later comparison showed that the PSTK103 is also substantially taller in both the length of the tripod legs and the retracted center speaker pole. However, the way it was packaged severely diminished my opinion on how much the manufacturer really cared about its own products. The paint finish was chipped on several areas of the legs. There were dimples and nicks in several areas of the leg tubing. Why I blame the manufacturer's packaging more so than the way it was handled during shipping is simple ... the tripod legs have multiple connections which protrude from the joints and aside from the use of thin plastic bags to separate the two units laying upside down and side-by-side within the small confines of its included unpadded travel bag within its shipping carton, no other fore-thought of protection to prevent each tripod unit from physically rubbing or banging against one another during transport was afforded. Really, how hard would it have been to just separate the two units within the travel bag with some corrugated cardboard or a strip of expanded foam?!!!On the plus side ... after testing each of the tripod stands ... all seemed to function perfectly well. The units were light yet seemed solid and stable once set up. The price seemed right thought and if the manner of packaging were improved ... I would definitely say that thus far it seems like a great buy. Only time and after some use hereafter will I be able to determine if the unit holds up and is truly a bargain.
