I have never left a bad review in my life, but I have to speak out about this. This product (plastic table cover) ruined my table. It left oily streaks all over the wood that won't come out. I spent $50 on this product, which then damaged a $500 table! This cover can't be good for the environment either. What exactly is coming out of the plastic and leaving such a residue that no cleaner will remove it? If you want to protect your table, get a glass table top instead. This is seriously the worst product I have ever purchased from Amazon.

I don't know how this can be sold! Took the finish off of our brand knew table and the smell that came with it was clearly dangerous. We couldn't go near the room for days without getting nausea and dizzy. We only had it on the table for 2 weeks. Shame on them for selling such a horrible product!

I ordered this product to protect my new dining room table, which I bought without considering how easily the wood surface would get scratched. The table cover is thick plastic and seemed as though it would provide great protection. At first, it seemed to work fine. However, after a few months, I began to notice odd-looking streaks under the cover, which seemed like they were in the wood finish. When I attempted to remove the protector, it came up sticky, like the streaky parts had actually been stuck to the finish! Low and behold, I now had sticky streaks all over the table surface. I tried everything I could to try to remove these sticky streaks of apparently altered table finish, but to no avail. Now I have a new table with streaks of sticky finish that show up as streaks. I believe that the chemicals in the PVC table protector reacted with the finish used on the table, resulting in ruining the finish. I don't know what to do now, short of buying a new table or trying to re-finish the tabletop, which I don't know how to do! Ugh! Don't buy this product!!!

Purchased this item to protect a brand new wood table that cost us $1500.00. When It arrived I carefully opened the package, and noticed immediately that something was not right. It was obvious that this was NOT the 2.0mm table cover I had purchased. I pulled out a micrometer, and sure enough, this measures LESS than 1.4mm.Don't kid yourself, nothing will make this item get thicker with age. It's a rip-off scam. The listing clearly states that the item is 2.0mm thick AND that the seller also has it available in 1.5mm. What they neglect to say is that you will be receiving the 1.5mm (actual measurement 1.38mm) regardless of what you order, regardless of what you pay.Naturally I fault the seller for this deception, but I also must fault Amazon. Because it has grown so gigantic in such a short period of time Amazon no longer possesses the ability (nor the will) to insure seller compliance, and seller truthfulness. Sadly, Amazon today has become a vast wasteland of scammers and grifters, all waiting to rip-off potential buyers.We (the buyers) are left to our own devices to ascertain what is real and what is fraudulent. Amazon takes no responsibility for buyer's being victimized, yet seemingly has no issue in raking in 100s of billions of dollars.PLEASE!!! Read the other reviews from those that purchased this garbage. It's clear that not only is it misrepresented in terms of dimensionality, but it also has the potential to ruin your wooden table. Thankfully in my case that didn't happen because I was able to see that it was not "As Described" way before putting it on my table.Save yourself some grief and follow this simple advice: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!

All our furniture has or had heavy glass tops which we found were very expensive to move when we purchased a new home so I found this as an alternative to protect the tops of our wood furniture. I first ordered this to cover our wood topped kitchen dinette table. There was no problem unrolling it even though it was delivered mid-winter and I trimmed it slightly to fit with a pair of kitchen shears. There was a very slight plastic smell when first opened which dissipated in about a day or two. The gauge is very thick, the product does not stretch or contract, nor does it stick to the surface. It wipes down easily after use. I do not experience any damage to the wood surface as described in other reviews though I peel it back occasionally to prevent it from staying in the exact same position permanently.I subsequently purchased more of this product for other tables and a desktop with the same success. The smaller pieces for side tables did curl a bit in the corners and I initially used the provided sticky dots to hold it down.Tableware does not slide easily over this as it would glass but I use place mats or coasters to overcome that.I do not place very hot bake ware or cookware directly on it so I can't say how it responds to heat, but I wouldn't do that on glass either. Very happy and highly recommend; I will never buy glass again.

I have now purchased two of these: One for our glass dining room table, and one for our glass kitchen table, and both in the clear (rather than the translucent/patterned).The topper for the dining room table happened to be listed as being the exact right size for the table. It isn't. It isn't cut correctly, and is more trapezoidal than rectangular. This is the reason for the deduction of one star. I ordered this one in the 2.0 mm size.The topper for the kitchen table did not come in the exact size, so I ordered the closest size up. I ordered this one in the 1.5 mm size. I did not measure to see if the sizing was accurate because all that mattered was that it was larger than my table.Both are easy to cut to the right size and look much better than other protective solutions I tried. I can see straight through to the floor, which is what I wanted (why have a glass table, only to hide it??). The provided dots are pointless with tables are large as these, so I haven't used them. There are definitely air bubbles, but they don't bother me. The table is protected and you can still see that it's a glass table.There was a bit of a smell when I first unwrapped the package, but it dissipated quickly. If I had the need, I would definitely order again.

Je n’étais pas certain que ce serait bien sûr ma table et finalement elle fait parfaitement. L’épaisseur permet d’ajouter à la durabilité de la nappe et de la table. Au début, elle a un peu les plis du transport( elle arrive enroulée dans une enveloppe de plastique et dans une boîte de carton d’environ 5 pouces de diamètre). Mais je n’ai pas eu besoin de la réchauffer pour qu’elle s’ajuste à la table. Je l’ai seulement mis à l’envers de la courbe. La nappe se nettoie très bien avec de l’eau et du vinaigre. Très facile d’entretien.

Not fully what I expected to come. I was expecting it to be able to cover my entire dining table, but when I opened it and started flattening it back out, i realized it would just cover the one strip of my table! It's nice and thick so my kids wont be able to easily wreck it but would have been nice for it to cover more than a 6 inch wide strip of my table. For the reason its vastly too small is why I give a poor rating because over all very lovely table protector just nee to make sure you have the measurments 100% accurate before ordering or you'll be disappointed on sizing of the protective table cloth, i had my bf measure to be sure we got right size and its wayyy off.

Deceptively small - not sure what table would fit this narrow strip. Please see photo with comparison to my hand size

It's just as expected, which is a good thing. It's a very glossy clear, and thick table protector. It's not cloudy/foggy, it's nice and shiny. It has a plastic smell but that's because came rolled up and sealed well. Just air it out and it's gone. Only unfortunate thing is it came rolled on a red velvet fabric, which left a red stain that I still can't remove. This was meant to put over a white table and it's very noticeable.

Its smell too bad, we left it to outside because we can't breath indoor, hoping we can use in summer otherwise we will loose money.. Not recommended for people having problem with your nose and lung..
