My 11 year old son has taken an interest in all manner of sculpture and these tools are a great set for his age group - I would also recommend them for really anyone else. They are great quality. We bought him a book explaining what each tool is for and how to use it which was key - I can only remember so much from my own youth! These tools are good quality and do not fall apart. They are wood and metal - not cheap plastic. The yellow ball is a sponge for removing excess water - in addition to clay, of course, a small hand-turn wheel is a nice accessory to buy for use with these tools.

This was a great tool kit to buy for my beginners ceramic class, but it is missing a few tools that I think are necessary in the class. For instance, a serrated metal rib tool and metal clay knives. All the products work great, but maybe its worth investing in some higher quality rib tools in addition to this kit.

I needed this for my ceramics class at my college. Everything worked great for me and the ease of cleaning was ok when you have a working sink. Everything stayed sharp for the whole 18 week college course but some of the items broke when I left them in the package after class ended

I am impressed with these clay sculpting tools. I bought them for my Grandson, I have no idea if he will enjoy working with clay but you never know till you try it. He is always bored so I figured it was a small price if he doesn't like it. I figured he could look up working with clay on the internet to get ideas. (I LOVE the internet!) I also bought him a 5 pound chunk of air dry clay. Maybe if he does, I will know what to give him other Christmas's! These tools are pretty nice. The wooden pieces and sanded very smooth and there is everything one needs to use to make whatever you like. Worth the price!

Good basic

If you just need an inexpensive set to see if you like throwing, or won't need them long, these are great. As with most tools, you get what you pay for and the edges on the wood are thicker/more blunt and the edges on the ribbon tools become dull more quickly than you'd find on higher-quality tools. However, these are perfectly serviceable and - other than the edge-issues - my set has been holding up well for the six months I've been using it. Notably, the metal scraper, needle tool, sponge, and cutter all seem to of the same quality/construction as the tools the local ceramics teaching studio uses - not that they're gold standard, but they are a good value - they get the job done and hold up well with standard use.

I needed tools for a ceramics class and they were perfect! The quality was great, other classmates had their tools breaking in half while using them but these held up for me. I no longer take ceramics and they work good for carving pumpkins for Halloween, I don't just carve a face but characters, a minion and a where the wild things are. These are great, sturdy, and easy to use!

Un super precio, estuvimos revisando productos similares en otros vendedores y el precios es casi el doble y el algunos casos el envio es aparte. Lo unico malo es que el mango es de madera y se puede desgastar mas rapido que algunos que vimos de plastico.

Voy iniciando mi aprendizaje en cerámica y se me hizo muy completo este kit, lo recomiendo ampliamente. Ya realice mis primeras cerámicas y si utilicé gran parte del material, afortunadamente hasta ahora no se me han roto los instrumentos. La esponja también es muy útil.
