If the user is careful about application, no plants around the weed suffer damage. I used a small squeeze bottle and applied it just to the leaves of the weed. A little goes a long way. If applying to a lawn, you can use a small brush and paint it on. It works very quickly. Best results if applied when the weather is dry and sunny.

I got this today sprayed on in the rain, and it killed or seriously wilted most weeds. I got it to take care of creeping Charlie around my organic veg garden. it seems to work well. will see in the long run, it is not like round up where you get months of no weeds weeds are necessary evil & require constant maintenance. like creeping Charlie bees love it but its near the tipping point of controlling it unfortunately. and I hate to do anything that takes a food source from beneficial insects this is what was used back in the day before the Petro chemical boom of the late 40's. UPDATE 6-22-14 as this does work very well I used it again and did not use all of it and left it in the pump sprayer for a few weeks it ruined the seal on the pump so do not leave!! it in the tank. I also have been experimenting with Heinz Cleaning Vinegar its 6% acidity and cheaper it works equally as well if put on in the heat of the day, I also mixed in orange oil or lemon oil an ounce or two it works just as well. I wish it was cheaper the 20% but its $30 roughly to ship it I cant justify that cost so.. FYI try grocery store Heinz Cleaning Vinegar see what you think. I bought this to use as a grass/weed killer for my backyard where my grandchildren play.. i did not want to use RoundUp though it was approved for this use.The vinegar is mixed with water and a suffactant (soap) and is sprayed on the leaves. It works well for some plants...mostly broadleaf weeds. On grasses it is less effective. I had Bermuda grass and it was only lightly burned then it came back out. I applied it three week in succession. I will not use this method again.There was nothing wrong with the product....It is just not acceptable for how I was using it.

I used this for some weeds on my patio instead of other more toxic alternatives. It works great, but it's effectiveness is directly influenced by the amount of direct sun available. In the middle of the summer (90F+ degrees), weeds were dead and brown in an hour. In the spring/fall (~60F) it has some effect, but takes more time and more product. However, for the simplicity of the product (it's a single ingredient), I think the price should be waay cheaper, or at least free shipping, so I knocked off a star for that.

After attending a seminar on organic garden care, I mixed up a small batch of weed killer to test its effectiveness. This included 1/4 cup of soap per 32 oz. of vinegar, plus salt. I sprayed on a sunny afternoon & a few hours later, was extremely impressed at how effective this spray is ((see before & after photos)).I have tried this on a variety of weeds, and it works well on all that I have tried. In fact, if a weed survives without evidence of severe wilting, it is because I missed spraying it. I find it useful to check the next day & touch up any remaining weeds that I missed. The spray works best for smaller/shorter weeds, although it has killed thistle-type weeds ~10" high, but that requires more spraying. This spray has killed weeds on sunny & cloudy days, but seems to work best on sunny days.This is a concentrated acid, so be careful when handling. My husband & I use protective eyewear in a well-ventilated space and wash our hands immediately after mixing.

Purchased two bottles hoping to kill already established grass and weeds in garden. From what I have seen there wasn't a difference in this and the Cleaning Vinegar from WalMart except the price. Only tried because I won an amazon gift card. I has rained every week since applying so I am right back where I started. It did arrive when expected.

I will have to reorder this again since I ran out of my initial 1 gallon. This works well around the house and is very effective with killing weeds. I have to use this since I have a little kid in the house and we dont want him to come in contact with any harmful chemicals found in RoundUp. Plus, this is biodegradable, so it wont harm mother nature. My only wish is that they would make it in larger sizes + prime members dont get free shipping which is a major turnoff.EDIT: 05/07/2015The price for this item was 17.99 before it was Prime eligible. I just checked again to buy this stuff and its 29.99 with prime. Great job Amazon and AG Organics. This goes on to prove that Prime is really not free shipping as Amazon claims it to be.
