Nexus 5X Case, Verus [High Pro Shield][Shine Gold] - [Military Grade Drop Protection][Slim Fit] For Google Nexus 5X

I got one of the updated versions, after they fixed the initial run; the case fits very snugly now, and a mic hole has been added at the bottom. Overall I'm pretty happy with the case! It the phone well, accounts for the camera bump on the back to prevent the lens from touching the surface when laid down, and the buttons work well.

This case looks and feels great, and I would LOVE for it to be better, but the plastic edge on it does not seat correctly. It slides off easily and bulges out when the phone is in the case. Fortunately, it still works as a case, even without the flimsy plastic border, but it really makes this case less valuable than what I paid for it.Please get this worked out. I love this case, but I wish it would fit right.EDIT: Review updates in progress as the process goes on for my replacement. Versus contacted me to inform me that I would be receiving a new, revised case in a short time. This kind of customer service and devotion to the customer is nearly unheard of with online shopping. This review WILL get 5 stars once I get the revised case in hand and if everything works out.

What? I came back to post review. I'm surprised to see only 2.8 out of 5 stars.tl;dr great product, great customer service. flaws all fixed. gotten better in every way. the flawed design is definitely still usable in my standard.Overall, I feel I made better purchase buying this case than the phone itself(Had Moto X 2013 before. Except the great fingerprint scanner, Nexus 5X doesn't feel like an upgrade.)Oct 20th - placed orderOct 22nd - the seller contacted me notifying that there are some flaws with the case design, the revised case is expected to be available for shipping on 29th, and they will send me the new one upon my request.Of course I accepted the offer and asked if I could send back the flawed one once I receive the new one and they can put a temporary charge on my account or whatever. They replied, they will send out the revised one as soon as it's available, and I can keep the old one. Whoa!Oct 24th - I finally got the original case, which was 5 days earlier than expected btw.At first, I was like, this seems totally fine. I put it on my phone, still looking fine.So I looked at other reviews; apparently, the plastic bezel near the charging port looks a bit dent. I was like, meh no big deal.Then I randomly ran into an article saying early nexus 5x cases missing microphone hole. i was like, oh s***, this one is among them, i hope the revised design has the hole. (this turned out to be no big deal either. i had many phone calls with the flawed case on, no body had any trouble hearing me).Nov 5th - the revised case finally arrived. First I checked the fore-mentioned flaws. No dent. Microphone hole present. All good.Then when I took off the original case, I realized, the new case's TPU/polycarbonate whatever part felt different. Maybe I'm imagining things, but the new one felt very slightly thicker. When I tried to put the new one on, I definitely noticed that it has become much more firm, it was a little difficult to put it on (i have full body protection films on, so it was a hassle to put the case on without ruining the films), but that's fine, it gives me the feeling of better protection.I looked at the flawed one again, and honestly, it still looks fine. As another review pointed out, the bezel is a bit loose, but mine never fell off. I also said the revised one feels more firm, but that's not saying the flawed one feels flimsy. It still feels firm enough in my standard.It is good enough for me to use it in case my revised case breaks or something.Thank you Verus for great looking product and great, prompt customer service.I will consider buying cases from Verus again for my future phones.

Fit and finish is great. No comment on how it holds up since it is still new. Makes the phone look much more expensive. It adds just the right amount of bulk for me. Love the way it makes the camera pimple flush.Only downfall is how slippery the case is. I was hoping for added grip. This case might even make the phone more slippery.update 4/18/2016The case has held up great! Even after few months still looked brand new until I finally had to put the case to use. The phone took a hard drop from about 4' up onto concrete. It landed on the corner of the phone. This would surely have shattered the screen but the phone is still perfect. The case itself not perfect. The plastic ring was damaged and doesn't sit flush anymore. But I am so glad the case besides looking great actually worked.

The case seems to be of good quality but has some major manufacturing flaws. First and most important, the bottom microphone is covered up. There should be a tiny hole on the bottom of the case for the microphone but its not there. They left one for the top microphone, but not the bottom. It makes the user's voice sound muted during a phone call, basically rendering the phone useless to be used as a PHONE. Second, like others have reported the plastic bezel around the case is loose. Not enough to fall off in my opinion, but loose nevertheless. Versus almost had a winner with this one but someone dropped the ball. Until they fix these two problem you will be wasting your money on this case.

After reading others post I was worried before ordering this item based on some of the reviews. I called Amazon Customer Service which was extremely helpful to go ahead and purchase the item and if it not ok to return it within 30 days. One person said that they could not return and they are puzzled as to why.So I went and ordered this item it arrived promptly and it was just what I wanted and expected. It was more than perfect. The opening for the headphone jack and charging was perfect, the case fitted perfect over the phone and I am happy that I finally got the thin case I needed.

I ended up taking this case off.Inaccessible to aux on a standard aux cable for the car and some headphones.Made the phone a lot larger for my liking and the buttons are not good on the side.I wanted to like it because it was like my old INCIPIO case for my old phone, but it didn't work out

I only used this case for one month. In that time the outer plastic rim became loose, and the pattern on the rubber that faces the back of the phone left a permanent imprint on my phone because of how tight the case is. Not recommended at all! Wish I was allowed to return it, but the case was non-refundable. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Aunque en las imagenenes puede parecer que algunos de los materiales de la funda son de metal, no lo son todo es plastico. Pero así es como esta en la descripcion del producto.Acceder al lector de huella es más comodo usando esta funda, que sin ella.El único inconveniente es con algunos audifonos que tienen el conector demasiado ancho y tienes que quitar la funda para poner conectarlo.

Los materiales son de muy alta calidad y el diseño es muy agradable. Es más fácil poner el teléfono es superficies planas, pues la cámara ya no es protuberante con esta funda protectora. La instalación es sencilla y se ajusta perfectamente al teléfono.No la tenían en existencia cuando la pedí. Tardaron dos semanas en conseguirla. Es la mejor funda para Nexus 5x, en mi opinión.
