Most women know that waterproof mascara is never as good as its counterpart but this stuff makes my great mascara really smudge proof and very water resistant to running.

Because of the length of my lashes, my mascara always smudges regardless of what brand are years. I love this top coat because it really keeps the mascara on and prevents it from smudging. I do find that I have to use a clean mascara brush to feather out my lashes after I apply it. Otherwise it can be a bit clumpy. For me that’s a small price to pay to avoid having raccoon eyes. Works as well as other expensive brands.

I purchased this to keep my mascara from flaking off and smudging. It did neither. It's as if I added nothing at all.

This did make my non waterproof mascara waterproof. But, it became a clumpy sad mess when I put this on. I had high hopes for it.

Very helpful spec for lower lashes

First of all, the fact that this exists is a beautiful thing. I have many mascaras that are great but not waterproof and I end up looking like I have a black eye at the end of the day. This absolutely makes a difference, unfortunately it's not 100% effective. It is great and I appreciate it. I think that the price tag is a bit steep, considering that I could buy some waterproof CoverGirl for $5, but it does make it possible for me to rock that $24 doucce mascara I fell in love with. As far as removing it, I end up using a makeup remover and finally a microfiber cloth with warm water. All around pretty solid, just not perfect.

This product is what I've been looking for ....my eyelashes are straight. When I curl them and then apply mascara, they go straight again. I now am able to curl my eyelashes, then apply the NYX Proof It Top Coat and let it dry then apply mascara and they stay curled. I am so happy with it. I know it says Top Coat but it doesn't work for me as Top Coat. It works best as a Base Coat.

This works fairly well, most of the time. I did have an incident where I waited to long to put it on over my mascara, and because the mascara had set, it didn't coat my lashes properly and I had a runny mess.That said, I love it. I find it works best for me when applied before my mascara sets. I have tons of great mascara from beauty sub boxes, but because I need a waterproof formula for small, hooded eyes with slightly oily lids and I have a tendency to water when I have eye make up on I couldn't use them! Now I can use any mascara and it stays put. No runs, no smudges.One huge plus I'd that because the base mascara is not waterproof, it actually removes easier than regular waterproof mascara!Will definitely buy again!
