Great projector for the pricepoint
I had been looking to get a projector for a while. I am one of the few people who still enjoyed 3D at home, and projectors are pretty much the only way you can get that. I didn't want a 'cheapo' and I didn't have the money to drop for one of the extreme ones, this one came in right where I needed. This is also a true 4k picture, whereas many of those out there take 4k input, but don't display 4k, only 1080P. The 3D is only 1080, but that is a limitation of the format, not the device.A few things I did not know to look for, but would seek out. - BluTooth connectivity for sound. I had to buy a blutooth transmitter to go to my blutooth soundbar. This was a necessary thing as the sound settings built into this projector are horrible. at its lowest setting it was still too loud when playing games. That being said, it has output for sound that I could use with a blutooth transmitter and that works well with the soundbar I have, but it does make for another item to turn on every time. Look for a soundbar or sound device you can tweak, as there is a slight delay going all the way to the projector and then out the blutooth. Setups where the sound goes to the speakers before going to the projector should work fine. This device has 1 HDMI2 and one HDMI3. Wouldn't mind a few more connections, but with a few adapters, which I'd need anyway, it works fine. That being said, this device does not 'turn on' when you use an HDMI device, as some others do, so have to keep track of that remote for the projector. Minor inconvenience really. Those are the only real detractors. Picture is amazing and bright, can watch with the lights on, or windows open no problem. 3D is easy to switch to and a pleasure to watch. 4k is easily recognized from input (blueray) and screen adapts seamlessly. No appreciable sound from the device to interfere with viewing. I have mine mounted from the cieling. Easily setup to project picture in proper orientation. I have mine about 10 ft from the screen, and at about 100" Will work further back if you want a larger picture. All in all, solid 4 1/2 to 5 stars. Well worth the price.

Great 4k Projector for Home Theater!
I purchased this projector for use in a home theater setup I was building in my basement. Here are some of my thoughts.Construction:I found the uhd30 to be well packaged in foam and arrived in good condition. After unwrapping the unit I found it to feel well built and not overly heavy in construction. Attaching it to my ceiling projection mount was a simple task.Installation\setup:There are two HDMI ports and only one is 2.0 which supports HDR and 4k together. This was not an issue as I ran my projector to my surround sound receiver and added my additional connections through the receiver. I ran a 10' monoprice cable to my receiver from my projector which was inexpensive and worked perfectly with no issues. My main source is my apple tv 4k which allows me to use plex to access my home video server (over 1000 movies and tons of TV shows). When using the apple TV 4k with the projector you should google "how to get the best quality picture with apple tv 4k settings" . I watched a few videos and this helped tremendously and made a difference in the quality of the picture for sure!Gaming:I have connected this to my xbox one x and all I can say is WOW! Absolutely amazing gaming experience on a 120" screen. The picture quality is amazing and there is no latency felt even without using the gaming mode. I can say for sure you will not be disappointed. Conclusion:I feel like the reviewers that gave this less than 5 stars probably had setup issues or a bad unit (bad cable, too long length, not a good 4k source ) because the video quality is amazing with a 4k source. Like you could count the facial hairs on an actor/actress if you wanted to as the picture is that sharp! LOL It is simple to operate and overall for $1300 the picture is amazing. I am currently using this with the Amazon 120" screen and this was a great value as well, colors look excellent and a great pair overall. I have currently used this for 69 hours (there is a bulb timer in the settings) and it really was a great purchase! I am looking forward to many movie nights with my family and trying out the 3d function as soon as I pick up some 3d glasses.
