Bought for a friend for temporary use post op
Proved useful for a friend post op after large ‘direct’ hernia repair, whilst healing, and repair ‘bedding in’. Adjust when putting on; then be ready to readjust during the day as inevitably moves a bit. Works better with some trousers than others (mainly loose ones). Hopefully they will feel happy to stop wearing in a few weeks

it works for my inguinal hernia (MAKE IT IN BLACK)
I was going to give it 4 stars because of the horrible colour and I want it in a black colour, but people with a hernia need this product as it works well.I was using a thick leather belt and a sock. This work better and stays in place. It actually works better than designed as you can stick the velcro to almost any part of the item and it sticks well. There is a strap to put between your legs to hold it in place so it doesn't ride up, and again, with the velcro sticking to anything, you can place and tighten this any way you need. And, you don't need to use this strap when just walking around the house or sitting, which makes it more comfortable. It really has given me a better quality of life as I can move around more and bend down fairly well (the belt can be tight and inhibit movement).

A Very Good and Essential Hernia Belt for quick and easy support.
You need to be a little bit fundamental when describing the advantages of inguinal hernia belts, so no offence to any accidental readers! This belt is ideal for use with a left-side inguinal hernia at night and around the house when relaxing. I will get another one for wash and wear because I depend upon it so much for moving around at night. The wide belt gives very secure support. Overall, very good construction. The stabilising belt between the legs could be a little wider and more robust. I take it off for night-time sleep, but keep the whole belt within reach.Because I am so active, during my workdays, I use the Neo G Double Hernia Support Belts which provide a very good overall grip on both sides my abdomen. But I particularly like the pouch and the oval pad that comes with this Everday Medical Company Belt. I sometimes use the oval pad with the Neo G Belt , that has contoured pads, by adapting the Velco. It can really prevent your lower intestines from bulging out at night when you get up to take a leak. Never jump up or remake the bed without putting your belt on! Things seem happy to stay in place when lying horizontal or in the foetal position and asleep. I've reduced the length of the L /XL belt to fit my 38+ inch waist and the next one I get will be the smaller S/ M size.I have very little pain from my hernia, only occasional heat-skin irritation from clothes. I'm trying to cope for the foreseeable future without the operation - dependent on trusses; the day clinic operation is not available anyway in Wales, probably for the rest of the year, due to the Covid Crisis. I've chatted with the consultant. But I've got special mobility problems and responsibilities in the short term. When the NHS, and me, are more settled, I'll probably go for it. Thanks for everything, NHS folk! You are doing a Sterling job for us all! and thanks for the truss belt!If you want to know what it's like coping with an inguinal hernia - ( which can emerge later in life after being born a premature baby - according to some medical reports - which I was - well over 70 years ago - during WW2), watch the film "Cat Ballou" for how the gunfighter "KId Shellen" is got ready for action, by Cat?- without any of his previous alcohol intake though! (I wish Cat Ballou was around to look after me - Just kidding, I'm getting plenty of help!)Stay Safe and Stay Well - to the best of your Abilities!!!

WORKS!
Only arrived so this is a very VERY early report. But instant relief and a good strong comfortable fit. Much sturdier than a WonderCare version that I'd used previously. This one feels like it'll keep your gut in place for a marathon! ;-) Wait out on performance updates.

Good and bad.
Well made, comfortable when worn but, I found the pad supplied far too big and obtrusive. Have had to use pad from older belt to suit.

Does the job and feels reasonably comfortable
Waiting for the op. I bought a cheaper one to start with but didn't find it very comfortable. No hernia belt is likely to be super comfortable but this one is much better and doesn't dig in or chaff, nice material. and it holds my inguinal hernia in fine.

Bad design, doesn't work
This is a strongly made belt but the pressure pad is not good. It is way too big so causes a visible bulge in your trousers. More importantly though, the pad is too big to fit and apply to the correct area. The belt I had before had a small and specially shaped pad which fit nicely into the inguinal area. This one is too big to apply pressure where required. My advice is to buy one of the other belts available on amazon - ones with a much smaller pad and properly sshaped pad. You'll need to specify left or right side, but these work way better
