This was ordered on 28 March and as it comes direct from China the quoted delivery was 22 to 24 April – however it was delivered on 4 April which was excellent and far quicker than I expected (and tracked all the way). As someone who is not familiar with computers I ordered this for my PC so I could take part in Zoom meetings during the lockdown as it is described as ‘plug-and-play’ which it is. It is clipped on the top of the monitor and the lead plugged into a USB socket and after a few seconds a dialogue shows it is recognized (Windows 10) and the only setting I needed to make in Zoom (in Audio Settings) was to specify the microphone being used; <USB Microphone>. I put a couple of tiny blobs of BluTak on the monitor to keep it secure. The picture quality is very good. It was blurred at first until I realized it has to be manually focussed and if you do not want your wrinkles to be seen you can set it to be slightly ‘off-focus’! There is no zoom in or out facility. It incorporates a ball & socket so it can be adjusted up and down, sideways, and also tilted. There is a screw socket in the base which takes a camera tripod screw and it fits my tripod OK. For £29 you get a microphone and camera and are all ready to go. How it compares with items costing four times the price I do not know but so far it does everything that is needed and there appears to be nothing else that is required. I have used it for four Zoom meetings so far and it does all that is needed. There are no doubt many other applications other than Zoom than can be used with it and I will deal with them as needed. For the money it is very good value and much better than expected. How last it lasts is, of course, impossible to tell. Recommended for those who are not technically minded and simply want a PC camera/mic that works with no frills. Supplementary note March 2021: After 11 months it is still working fine and no problems.

The webcam arrived earlier than I had expected. It was plug-and-play, with no driver-software to install. I plugged it in the USB-port as instructed and it functioned immediately. In Zoom meetings, it always seems to give sharper images than anyone else's.

This product is not excellent as the photo on the web exaggerates its size. In the event it is very small and does not meet my requirements for fixing to my TV.

The quality of the video looks great on my screen even tho I've been told few times that my video freezes ( that could be an internet issue) It makes my skin look pale but I am not too bothered. The most disappointing part is the Mic! unfortunately is not working. when I try to talk through the mic all I can get back is a buzzing sound....like a bee. it was disappointing when I was talking in a meeting and all that my colleagues could hear is buzzing. Installation was great all I did was attach the USB and it was ready to go, worked on skype, zoom, and Teams. Delivery time wasn't so great I am not sure who is to blame for that :/ (I think it was a week late) Overall I am happy, I didn't buy this for the mic so I am gonna let that one go.

If you've never used a webcam before and have an urgent need then I guess it's just about passable as it does plug in and work instantly. However, it is the dot-matrix-printer of webcams... The video quality is awful and absolutely nowhere near the 12MP quoted. It's manual focus, so I'd assumed it would take a bit of tweaking, but no: it's just rubbish and, when in focus, it's marginally less rubbish. I get a MUCH better image from a Logitech camera I have that is over 10 years old, less than 1MP, and cost less. Utter waste of money.

Item was late but I expected this due to the COVID-19 chaos. Once a week late seller said it appeared lost and shipped a 2nd unit on 30th April. A camera arrived 11th May. So, good service under the current difficult circumstances. Would be 5* but this device is miss advertised. It's not 12MP or HD. It operates at VGA resolution (640x480 pixels. 0.31MPixel rate). Works OK for simple Zoom etc. and found drivers OK when plugged in. Also tried a driver from manufacturers site and couldn't then get it to work at all so went back to the one it found.

Plug and play for all applications including zoom. No software required ans the results are good. It is a reflection of the current world but more expensive than pre Covid-19 days.
