Amazon Basics Desk Chair
First time assembling a desk chair and I’m happily surprised with how easy it was to assemble. All of the parts came securely together and the quality of the materials are excellent for an affordable price. Overall beautiful design, comfortable, easy to clean material, easy to move, beautiful color, weight solid and height adjustable.

Great chair and great buy!
Great chair at a great price point. This chair took about 15 minutes to assemble (at work). I don’t really understand the reviews that state it took an hour to put together. I’m a 38 year old female, somewhat handy. The instructions were clear. There was NO smell to this chair (other reviews complained of a heavy smoke smell - I would imagine a smoker returned the chair and the person who left the received the returned, used product). The chair is sturdy and comfy! Overall great buy!

Great affordable and small office chair
Love it for my home office! Will say, it doesn’t recline as it says it does which was a bummer. It was pretty easy to assemble as well which was nice, and the color makes it look very nice for an office. I had seen a review when searching for a chair saying that it’s small and I will say it honestly is not very wide so I would keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for. Overall, it’s the perfect size and not too big and is pretty comfortable. As stated, my only complaint is really that I can’t lean back in it. It says to pull the lever (the one to make it lower and raise which that function works very well) but that does not make any sort of recline happen.

Surprisingly Comfortable Chair for the Price
I didn’t expect much given the price, but this chair turned out to be a great value. It’s comfortable enough for long hours at the desk, and the padding feels soft without being too plush. The height adjustment works smoothly, and the armrests add nice support. It’s not a luxury chair, but for the cost, it definitely gets the job done and looks clean in my home office. A solid budget-friendly option.

Nice looking but doesn't recline much....
It's a ok chair for the price let's face it. But it reclines all of 3-4 inches tops so don't expect much.Looks good. Comfy but the cushioning is very thin so don't expect a plush seat.Wont stay plush for long I imagine.Three stars because getting the back rest on is a pain in the ass. Holes hard to line up and the cheap Allen wrench included dies not stay in the hole very good. Every chair I've ever assembled was far easier than this one. Use two people trust me.It doesn't have official lumbar support but this is a very upright chair on its own. OK back support.Like I said, for the price not bad.

It works for me!
I bought this chair back in November of 2022 - I use it every single day! I weight 250lbs and I'm in it for 4 to 6 hours every day! I've had no issues with it whatsoever! I believe the real key to this chair is, once assembled, leave the screw covers off, use it for a week or two, and then go back and tighten all the screws again. I admit it's not the most solid feeling chair, but for the money, to me, it's hard to beat!

18 Months of Mediocrity: This Chair Is Falling Apart and So Is My Patience
Let me save you the time, money, and lower-back regret: do not buy this chair. At first glance, like a gas station breakfast sandwich, the Amazon Basics "Classic Puresoft PU" office chair looks harmless enough. A decent price, clean lines, and a name long enough to sound like someone tried really hard. But don’t be fooled. After living with this chair for 18 months, I can confidently say that calling it “basic” is generous. This thing is a slow-motion ergonomic tragedy. I'm not even a heavy user...this chair sits at a home desk, not a call center and yet it’s falling apart like a toddler’s Lego tower.Comfort:For the first week or two, the chair is passably comfortable. Then the padding compresses, the seat flattens like a pancake at a truck stop diner, and every hour feels like you're being punished for a crime you didn’t commit. The back support? Non-existent. I’d get more lumbar support leaning against a wall. Sitting in this chair for more than an hour at a time feels like penance and no amount of adjusting will save you.Adjustability:Sure, it adjusts up and down. That’s about where the good news ends. The tilt mechanism is laughable — either it’s locked upright like a church pew, or it reclines with all the grace and stability of a shopping cart with a broken wheel. The tension knob? Pure decoration. Turning it does about as much as yelling at a thunderstorm.Durability:After only 18 months, mine is literally falling apart. The seat cushion is collapsing. One of the casters feels like it’s about to snap off. The armrests creak under minimal pressure. It feels wobbly, unstable, and generally unfit for long-term use. This chair was designed to die young.Style: Deceptively BlandIt tries to look sleek and minimal, but really it just screams “budget bulk order.” There’s nothing classic about this thing, and the Puresoft name is a masterclass in ironic branding — it’s about as “pure” and “soft” as a gravel driveway. Are there any Pros? I Guess It Technically Exists* It was easy to assemble.* It did, technically, hold my body off the floor for over a year.* That’s it. That’s the list.Final Verdict:If you're looking for a short-term chair for a rental office you never plan to return to, or maybe need to furnish the background of a Zoom call, maybe this will do. But if you actually plan to sit in it regularly? Don’t do it. You’re better off buying a decent secondhand chair on Craigslist. Or honestly, sitting on a milk crate. This chair is a monument to the bare minimum. It’s uncomfortable, poorly built, aging faster than unrefrigerated mayonnaise and destined for the landfill before its second birthday.1/5 stars. Would give zero if I could.

Great Value, Stylish and Comfortable
I’ve been using this chair for 4 months and it’s been perfect! It looks sleek and modern, fits in well with my home office, and feels surprisingly sturdy for the price. It rolls easily, adjusts well, and offers just the right amount of support for daily use. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an affordable, good-looking office chair!
