I recently discovered that high efficiency gas appliances need a condensate neutralizer to prevent the acid in the condensate from damaging cast iron, concrete, and more over time. I needed one to protect a sump pump in an ejector pit. You can buy one for $100+, more or less, and replace them annually or replace the material you put inside annually for a lot of money. Or you can build one. The cheapest one you can build would probably be a bucket with a drain at the bottom. Then flow condensate in and out with a 1/2 inch hose. This was my Plan B. I chose to build one with the blue pvc tubing and attach standard white pvc fittings. The tube is 3" x 12". I installed it myself because pvc tubing is pretty easy to work with in a simple configuration like this one. The total cost including pvc was around $100. Everything attached directly to the blue pvc tube is glued using clear pvc cement. Everything else is only fitted together and does not leak. The drains in and out were a little tricky. YouTube videos helped although I could not find a tap large enough that was cheap enough for 1 time use. I ended up using a 1/2" wood bit and finessed the holes into ones large enough for the 3/4" fittings. Plumbers tape and JB Water Weld made them water tight. The internal media above are marble chips. Limestone also works as marble comes from limestone. A 40 pound bag was $10, enough for several years, possibly a lifetime.

Exactly what I needed. Easy to install and the right size. It was a little opaque but once installed it was fine.

Came in exactly as described. The ends were clean cut. It’s not optically glass clear as the texture of the extruded pipe creates some distortion but plenty clear enough to see what ever you likely need to see.

I bought this pipe to demonstrate the difference between how a regular plumbing auger works and a high pressure water jetter works to clean out drain pipes. Works well for my application.

This works for the fish bridge! It is not completely clear with the blue tint, but it is definitely clear enough. It does scratch easy, so you have to be careful with it.

It works as you would expect a PVC pipe to work, but I really needed it to be clear. The proper description would be 'a blue translucent'.

Great quality

Perfect size and length to then be cut in smaller sizes for making resin casting round molds for bottle stoppers, spheres, or larger items. Cut to length to fit the pressure pot and using a Turner's silicone plug on one end. Recommend.
