General Tools 196 Short Length Hand Reamer & Countersink, 3/4"

I wish I got this sooner. I use it to remove burrs and sharp edges from holes drilled in a sheet aluminum musical effects pedalboard. Works much better for this specific application than the reamer I previously used. This is easy to use, fast and effectively smooths the holes, leaving a professional smooth result. So there are no issues with wires or fingers getting cut on sharp metal edges or nasty burrs. I use a black sharpie to darken the topside appearance of the raw metal holes, and it looks like a professional machine shop did the work.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Excellent little deburring tool for the money. I only use it for aluminum so I don't anticipate any durability concerns.

Works as expected, convenient hand tool for countersinking

I bought a couple of different reamers to try for use on hvac tubing, 1/4" to 1/2". This is by far my favorite. It's easy to use, smooth, and impossible to scratch the inside of the tubing with it. I like it better than the bigger plumbers reamers that are designed to handle larger pipe, mostly because they are bulky and more difficult to use in a constrained environment, but also because this is easier to line up square with the tube.

Nice USA made hole reamer. Use it a lot, one of those handy tools to keep on the bench and a second in your tool box.

Good tool, has some weight to it. Works great on aluminum, brass and mild/soft steel to remove burrs from drilled holes.
