Facebook for Seniors QuickSteps 1st Edition

I just hate the name of this book because it makes me feel old. I would have preferred something like Facebooks for Computer Illiterates or Facebook for the Techno-Challenged. Still the book is laid out well and I guess it's a good choice although you can google so many questions that I'm not sure that a book is necessary. My son insisted and ordered this for me because he gets tired of being asked for help!

This would be great for anyone who wants an easy introduction to Facebook. The table of contents is well organized. The illustrations are helpful. The type or print is large, clear and easily read.. Tips and cautions are included in each chapter.. This would be a good choice for someone starting a family member or friend on this website.. I like my computer books to be more informative.

This book did not help me. I already have lots of “friends,” and have no difficulty finding people to add. This book goes into depth about what I call the Facebook culture. I am already familiar with that. I know what a Facebook “friend is.” The questions I have are very specific, and probably quite easy to explain, but this book doesn’t give basic, practical answers. Often the directions the book does give involve graphics that do not appear on my screen. Very frustrating. I think this book is just too old. If one is just curious about what Facebook IS, this might be helpful. This is my first poor rating for a book, but this book really let me down.

Any book for seniors you would expect not to have to get out your magnifying glass to read it. Could have been so hard to push the font size up a notch or two?Good information, but, I could have done as well with " Facebook for Dummies". Was disappointed; simply too hard to read.

This was a present for my dad who is 64 and was wanting to learn Facebook, I don't know how well it has helped him, but when I looked through it, it seemed to be perfect for someone who doesn't know anything about FB

Very nice, clear, concise reference (and tutor) for something than be somewhat intimidating and confusing for those who aren't tech-savvy, regardless of age. Wish I'd had it sooner.

This is a fabulous book that should take all fear from using Facebook as you read and apply the thorough steps to setting up and using Facebook. I thought I knew Facebook in and out and I discovered so many things I did not know as I carefully read and reread sections of this great book.This will make a great Christmas gift for parents and grandparents who are wondering if they can take that step into Facebook land.

Very helpful for a couple of my friends who are not computer experts - actually they aren't computer rated so experts is way above their heads. But the paperback was great.

Idid notfind this book very helpfull it did not seen to relate to any thing on my face book sorted things out for my self in the end

As I am new to social networking thought I better brush up my knowledge. Good Little book with lots of pictures. Good purchase!
