Merrell Women's Gardena Thong Sandal

Wear primarily thong sandals when warm besides tennie shoes. They hug the foot and are very supportive. Very hard to find this in a thong sandal. A lot of the time sandal is too wide and my foot is narrow and causes sandal to be slack when I walk which hurts the knee. Bought both the black and brown. Quality made product. Do not hesitate to put these on when I have a lot of walking to do . I am really pleased with them.

These shoes were replacements for the exact same shoe I bought at a major department store in Panama City Beach, FL in 2011. At the time.we were going on a European riverboat cruise and I literally "walked" across Europe in these shoes. On return I bought another pair in black and after 3 years of constant use I thought they should be replaced. After much searching, I found them with Amazon online and ordered a pair of brown and a pair of black. I am more than pleased! They fit perfectly, look good, were delivered quickly, and now a friend wants my old ones as they really don't seem worn. Also, my new ones were at a far more reasonable price than the original for the exact same shoe. Thank you Amazon.

I've had the previous version and these are just a little different since there's more leather. I've worn them once for most of the day and they felt good. They have so much comfort for just a "flip flop". I wear a six wide but these are just fine - my foot doesn't hang over the side at all, but they are snug so if you have a narrow foot i'm thinking they'd still be good. I could have done with just a little more in length, but, again, my heel doesn't hang out of the back. I had the old ones for 3/4 yrs (actually still wear the old ones for mucking around) and hope to keep these as long!

The shoe is constructed well and I am hoping it stands up over time. I did have a little rubbing near the toe strap from the leather but was able to bend it so it didnt touch the top of my toes. The shoe is great for casual occasions or can even look a little dressier if you need comfort. Would consider buying in another color!

These sandals are cute enough but run small! I have a wide foot and my toes fell off sides and so tight I couldn't get left shoe on. Amazon has great return system.....

I received the shoes in quickly, and I had to return them just a quick... the strap across the top of my foot was way to tight.. I think they would have been a very good and comfortable shoe had I ordered the right size. It said if I wore half sizes to go up a size and I didn't. SO if you are an 8.5 you better go to a 9..

I have worn UGG Layback sandals for house slippers for several years now....but UGG decided to discontinue the style. My last pair of UGGs finally bit the dust this month...I saw these, not sure the insole will work (the bottom of my foot is allergic to synthetics) but I liked the look...so I bought the shoe. Received it yesterday. Great shoe. I wear Merrell clogs in winter w/socks (thank goodness for slacks), but no socks in summer. So far I can't tell this insole is a problem. If it is, I will insert a leather insole. The fit & comfort of this shoe are great. I can't say enough. Now will Merrell keep the style? We'll see. Sept 17, 2013...I have worn these shoes almost every day since they are slippers for me. Unfortunately the elastic has stretched so much that the shoes are loose on my feet and are beginning to flop around. I bought them to replace a pair of Uggs that did that. So far these shoes are not causing me to misstep or stumble, but I am disappointed that the elastic is not a better quality. I downgraded the shoes to 3 stars. They still fit and are very comfortable as long as they are on my feet.

I purchased a pair of these sandles in suede about five years ago. They finally were starting to look a little worn after a lot of wear and lots of rough treatment. So I decided to get a new pair. I love these shoes. Despite the thong between the toes, they are comfortable and ready for all day wear right out of the box. They also are very sty Ish and I get a lot of complements. You won't be disappointed.
