How does it compare to the ones that go over a stove top?

I found it easier to use than the stove top ones , no chance of charcoal edges and the kitchen doesn't smell of burnt cheese for the rest of the day .

I know it says 14cm but I assume that includes the outside silicone but what size are the actual metal plates?

I have no idea of actual size but normal bread fits perfectly & once you have had one you will hooked, delicious.

Where can I get replacement black plates? Black now peeling off mine around edges. Otherwise an excellent product
