Brass Knob for Mailbox Flag

Mailbox needed a facelift....Looks great!

I needed a new flag for my mailbox after Hurricane Ida mine was broken. I do not understand why the flag did not come with a knob. So I bought this one because of the frequently bought together recommendation. What a joke. The knob is so small that it looks ridiculous on the mailbox and it doesn’t even cover the threads. The only reason I don’t send it back is because I am not sure I can match the threads of the post it screws into.

Our large neighborhood is in the process of refinishing all of our mailboxes so I thought I’d write this because I know a lot of my neighbors will be looking to purchase these items. I purchased the flag knob as well as the door knob for my mailbox. First, they are heavy, which is great for the price and from a distance they look nice. I was excited to receive them yesterday. Immediately opened the package to put them on my mailbox only to find that not one but both items already have chips in their coatings which is Exactly the reason I’m replacing the ones we have! I assumed that this might be common since the chip appears in both of my items that were well bubble wrapped separately. Just know they might not be perfect when you get them.

The knob is very nice but the screw for it was not in the package. So I’m trying to find one that will fit

This was a perfect replacement part for the knob we lost. However, we returned it because our original knob was found in the driveway. :)
