HVAC Must Have tool!
This is a must have for refrigeration and airconditioning work! I ordered this to replace a lost probe, and tried to use some cheaper models from other manufacturers. This is the clamp to buy, they are consistant, reliable, and durable. They hold up well in the field, and as any pro will testify, Fluke products are one of the best. Prices are consistant with most retailers, and this seller shipped fast.TECH NOTE: I bought this for AC, and heating work along with a UEI 2 channel (DT302). This combonation works really well, (wish I got the 4 chanel UEI). I did notice one phenomenon that I would like to share, when the system you are testing is conductive, and you use both probes (boiler supply/return, or ac suction/discharge), you will see a weird ofset in the teperatures when they are both connected. I have gotten arount this with a layer of teflon tape under one of the probes(around the pipe). The teflon is thin enough to transfer the heat well and insulating enough(electrically) to prevent the weird offset effect.

Decent quality tool so far.
Seems like its good quality. If you are fussy about how you want the thermocouple element, like where it is clocked in relation to the pipe, it may be a little troublesome for you. You don't always have room to move it to a particular position, since often there are linesets and electrical whips in the vicinity which get in the way. Since it's not a sensing bulb I don't get too fussy about where mine sits. For those interested, it sits by default on the top of the pipe. In most cases its almost impossible to get it to sense temp at the bottom (it would hit the ground at an outside condensing unit).

simply awesome
I had a set of these from about 15 yrs ago I bought back when yellow jacket made them. now can only find it under fluke name. namebrand aside, these are the exact same and last no less than 10 times longer than the basic clamp style thermocouple that comes with digital gauges, ive had the basic climb, most time I ever got before they broke was a little over 3 months, these fluke style are well worth the money

This is the Best on the Planet...!
I use to teach A/C and used this in my Automotive class for reading pressures via conversion table...You don't need a Gauge set for initial Diagnosis...response time is 5 seconds! Amazing tool.

Awesome, fast, and accurate
If you're just doing a/c or hoax, this is probably more instrument than you need. I use these to validate industrial equipment for FDA etc. They're super responsive and accurate. I have several of these and the larger PK-10s, used with a recording pyrometer they're awesome.

love it.
I had mine for 3 years until misplaced mine, so now I had to get this new one. Friend told me to put electrical tape around the wire where it comes out the body to help aid in the longevity of the wire, as he says the sensor tends to break there, I never had any trouble, but of course I also listened to him.

Nice piece of equipment...
Very accurate pipe clamp, if a little on the pricey side. It has worked well for my purposes, just wish it had a banana plug on it so I didn't have to buy a separate adapter to get it to connect to my multimeter.
