No Damage To Stairs
It was a little difficult to install depending on which type of mounting style used. One of the blocks split when trying to screw it in to the panel. The kit came in two pieces that you had to connect together. The zip ties were the best part of the kit as they really held the panel in place and no concerns over it moving with a baby.Once it was installed, we felt it did a good job in preventing us from having to drill into the stair banister and felt it was sturdy with the gate installed to prevent our 15 month old from getting throughNote: if able to attach straight to the banister instead of next to, I would of given it 5 stars and highly recommend.

frustration saver when putting up gates
This kit helps me adhere my pet gate near the stairs since there is not a wall. Attach the wood on the rails and it creates a stable regular surface. I will use the other parts to get past a large baseboard. This kit will also protect your walls. Very functional and reusable.

Poor quality control of 2 piece design
The concept is great but the execution is poor. The wood portion comes in 2 pieces that screw together. In my case the 2 pieces were not the same thickness and it made the finished piece wobbly. Poor quality control. It’s going back.

Like the concept, but the wood is too dense to screw
I followed the instructions for the recommended wood screw installation and immediately my 3/32 drill bit got stuck in their wood. Then worked it out and more slowly got the pilot hole finished. Then tried the screws and it didn't make it 1 mm before it got stuck. Next tried 7/64 wider bit (not on the instructions) to see if that helps but still can't get the screw in to mount this to our banister. Googled and found a trick with bar soap that helped.

Excellent For Roll Up Gates
We got one of those newer style roll up gates for our stairway but did not know how we were going to securely install it until we found this! This was exactly what we needed to install our gate without damaging our stair banisters. It was very easy to install with our gate and I would highly recommend for others looking to install gates without damage!
