Easily Trace your Network Cables
I had a prickly situation, trying to figure out which CAT5 cable on the 2nd floor of my house, corresponded to the massive nest of unmarked CAT5 cables in my basement. I just connected the 2 leads of the supplied noise generator to a pair of the CAT5 leads in the bedroom then ran to the basement with the listening probe and quickly found the correct wire. Then I used an RJ45 push-through crimper kit and made my own end to connect to my network switch. This tool saved me a ton of time. So, it's a good brand, worked well, and was pretty inexpensive. Good tool to have around the house anytime you might need to chase a wire.

Good sniffer
Sound quality was kind of weak, maybe my wires are bad or too long, I'm not an expert. It works well and does what its made to do. It's 100% accurate with finding the correct outlet. Battery lasts a good while, used it for 20 minutes with no problem. Size is perfect for any kit.

Great toolK
Have a Fluke for work and this one for home. I've used this one for network cables and car wiring, and it works great. Definitely not as good as the Fluke, but the price is good.

Simple use and simple tester
Basic pin out tester but not an industry standard certifier. Good for shorter distance and won’t detect a short with the toner section. A cool tool from Klien but more is needed if your looking for a complete wire tester

Works great helped me identify the existing cables that’s already in our house.
Worked as intended

Worked alright, died after 4 months
The tone wasn't super strong on it. Strong enough to work and find but was real quiet over long runs. The probe had LEDs go out on pin 5 and then the toner stopped working completely.

Quiet, But Not Useless
If you are buying this primarily for toning network cables, then it will be difficult in datacenter scenarios. That is my primary use. They DO provide an earphone jack on the side which works well, though. You are going to want to carry an 1/8 ear bud around or something. Dollar store will have those. For most other environments, like quiet homes or phone IDFs, this should be fine. It doesn't scream like the good ol' Fox-n-Hounds, so you will need to mess with cable separation a bit. When I find the time, was wondering if I could get a tiny project box and set up a small LED to vary in brightness to the audio signal provided at the earphone jack. That would be the ultimate. They do not give you visual indicator on the wand for toning. It would require more batteries and a separate piece to keep track of, but I think that would make this as good as any double-priced unit for toning, then.Cable tester seems simplistic, but adequate.I am going all in for 5 stars just because this thing is a USA tool and priced very well ($35 when I got it) for what it provides. Any more than that price, and I wouldn't want it.
