…but it absolutely fits the Velux model number supplied.Had an “oh no” moment when I opened the box. Very different extrusions and blind appearance to that installed on my Velux. However, took a deep breath and sized it up to the frame. Perfect fit.It’s just a more modern, simpler install. Six screws total: two for the blind, two each for the side bars. No pesky pull strings or plastic fittings.The blind itself is high quality and keeps out all the light.Honestly, couldn’t be happier. Worth every penny.

Very pleased with these. Instructions (pictorial) not the easiest to understand but plenty of guidance via YouTube, Very good quality and once you understand the installation instructions they are quick and easy to fit.

Bought to replace an existing broken blind. The actual kit is very good quality and no longer has the awful cords that give up like the old Velux blinds did, but the instructions are terrible. No words just weird pictures.Handy hints having battled the blind up:1. Totally ignore the instructions telling you not to use a drill/driver. DO use one, with a magnetic bit unless you have three hands. Just don't hammer the screws in.2. If you are replacing an existing broken blind, check if the existing plastic mounting brackets are a similar size and shape to the ones that come in the kit when you take the old one off. Offer the new blind cassette straight up to them. Chances are the new one will fit straight over them. This saves you pointlessly removing them then having to contort yourself trying to fit the replacement ones which are the same but worse in that they have a screw fitment and are an absolute pain to screw in while holding them in the correct place!Bear in mind the replacement blinds have to be screwed into place so you have to secure the blind cassette each end with a screw or it'll fall out, unlike the old ones that clipped to the plastic mounts. I stupidly didn't get that far, replaced the plastic mounts pointlessly then realised I could have just used the old mounts.Putting the runners in afterwards is easy. Again, make sure you don't murder any of the fixing screws tight. It's all aluminium so it's easy to deform something and then the runners won't slide into place. Better to nip it all up with a drill driver then use a screwdriver to make sure it's tight.Hope this helps.Velux - for God's sake sort the instructions out!

This blind was bought to replace an older model, which failed because one of the guide cords became frayed and jammed the operation of the blind. This model has no visible cords, and comes with its own set of guide rails, which differ from those of the older model blind. Fitting the blind is not complicated. The installation instructions consist of diagrams which are easy to follow. There is no printed instruction text. This buyer is happy with his purchase.

I was VERY disappointed with this blind. Whilst it is a genuine Velux blind (I checked with Velux, as I initially had my doubts) it was not the normal "Pick and Click" install that is advertised throughout the Velux marketing. This blind DOES NOT just push onto the side brackets that you install at the top of your window. It ALSO needs a screw to secure it in place on either side. I have never had to do this with any Velux blind previously.When I asked Velux about it they said "...This is the replacement blackout blind which is a cheaper alternative blind to the standard blackout...". But as I say, I couldn't see any mention of having to screw in the top unit on any videos etc.Due to the position and placement of the screw holes, and where typical Velux windows are situated (on low sloping roofs) it made what is normally a simple Velux install much more difficult. The retractable blind itself obscures the screw holes, so I needed someone to carefully hold the blind whilst extended out of the way whilst I tried to get the screws fixed in. Added to this, the plastic flap where the screw hole resides was bent so I had to unbend it - after having already fixed the top unit it in place, so I had to remove it, as otherwise the side slide bars would not have slotted underneath it. So all in all, this was not the easy install you see in the Velux videos, nor what I have done 4 or 5 times previously!To be fair to the retailer, they did respond to my queries very quickly and accuratelyThere are many different blinds for sale, the one I am reviewing was listed as "VELUX Replacement Blackout Blind (DBL), C04, 6, Beige"

Wir haben alte velux fenster und waren erst auf der Internetseite der Firma unterwegs um ein passendes Rollo zu finden. Doch dann mit der entsprechenden Größe mit Amazon verglichen und noch ein paar Euro s gespart.Die Montage des Rollos ist wirklich simpel. Es passt perfekt und sieht gut ausJetzt kann der Sommer endlich kommen 🙂🌞

Die Montage erfolgte jeweils in Holz- bzw. Kunststoffrahmen mithilfe eines Akkuschraubers(dieser erleichtert das Anbringen,da sich die mitgelieferten Schrauben etwas schlecht ins Material schneiden),ansonsten geht die Montage einfach und zügig. Wir haben insgesamt drei Rollos in zwei Größen bestellt,leider hatten alle (ungefähr gleiche Stelle in Abstand und Höhe) links unten eine kleine Beschädigung im Stoff,was entweder auf die Produktion oder Verpackung vom Hersteller zurückzuführen ist. Deshalb einen Stern weniger. Insgesamt sind die Rollos passgenau,funktional und optisch echt klasse! Gute Preisleistung! Empfehlenswert!

Der Versand ging super schnell.Die Montage ist ebenfalls einfach und geht sehr schnell.Die Verdunkelung ist sehr gut und ich würde das Rollo jederzeit empfehlen.
