Great HD camera auto sycs to Q-See NVR
Arrived on time, no damage. Packaging really good. Plugged into the Q-See 8816 NVR and after a few seconds of warm up time, the camera worked great. Q-See camera works great. Would recommend this camera and the NVR.

Can't even read a license plate at 50 feet during the day.
Product Features say 100 foot vision, even at night. The video isn't even clear enough to read a stationary license plate at 50 feet during the day. Tech support was OK - installation was far from easy, but tech support remotely logged into my PC and installed it. Video quality is sufficient to perhaps determine the make and model of a car, but that info is ultimately insufficient at least in San Jose, California, where police require a license plate number or some other specific identification to do anything, even for a shooting.

Replacement
Bought this one to replace one that quit working all of a sudden in less than 6 months. The warranty process to get it replaced is involved, but for the price of the camera. ..a must.The picture quality of the camera itself is pretty sharp and clear.

Camera is useless without functional software
I haven't been able to install camera after days of effort. Software simply gives error message "Failed to start searching device" I had to search the internet for their latest software. Camera comes with an app that is several years old. I have one of their older cameras that runs in a windows browser - but that software crashes daily. The camera is a paper weight for now. I would recommend users look to other vendors.
