Our neighborhood has a rat infestation. I wanted something safe that didn't injure or kill pets, squirrels or that kids could get into. Our neighbors across the street hired an exterminator and these appear to be the same the pros used except green in color instead of black. The boxes comes with stakes and they haven't blown away. I believe the keys are the same for all boxes. I'm ok that it takes very slight effort to open with a key. I rather have this than the box opening and rat poison being accessible to kids, pets, etc. No one wants to have to need to exterminate rats. I wanted as safe of a product used by the pros. I believe these are or very very close

Unlike those bait stations that features a number of functions that never works, this bait station does it job with no fancy ineffective features. It has all the features of profession bait station without the high price. It is functional, well built and purposeful at what it does.

These seem to be just as good as the ones that we got from our pest control guy but much better price. Now we can have them in more places around the outside of the house.

Easy to set up and easy to check and reload bait if necessary monthly. Took care of my rodent problem.

The chunky plastic key does not work like a normal key. You just kind of jiggle it and hope that the lid is locked. They seem to be locked. But I have pets, so it makes me nervous to put these boxes (w/poison bait) in my yard.

I live in the middle of the boonies at altitude in the middle of a large tract of land. I say that to illustrate, when you live in the middle of Nature, it's to be expected to have "visitors." If the rats would stay outside we could live peacefully but when they come inside, the rules change. I hate killing any critter, but having already said, I won't tolerate them in my house, I installed two of these units at my home and they have been very effective. I check the traps about once a month to one every 1.5 months and refill the bait if necessary. These have been highly effective and I've not seen any evidence of "visitors" nor heard them partying in the night!
