Many Crimson Trace in house and only had a problem ONCE with a LaserGuard on Glock27 that they redesigned to take all that shock/recoil. Ergo, all are First-class in Fit, holding Zero, EZ adjustments, free batteries for life.CT doesn't always have in stock, so glad Amazon did.CT needs to make more Green lasers, so much more useful in daylight and I claim also brighter at night.This model does NOT have a Master Switch On-Off, so iron sights practice is hampered until you have black tape over the light that is actuated when you grip it.FYIPre-purchase I asked this question only to get a jerk's "NO" anti-help and another fitting a 9mm = no help.CAVEAT:Crimson Trace makes the BEST Laser GRIPS on the planet BUTthe Laser Guards always fail, sooner or later. Better than Viridian but ArmaLaser might be superior, just hard to find a fit in their new, limited offerings.Warranty Nut Shell:Fails within 3 years = no fix, just new replacementoutside of 3 years = 1/2 price their price, if in stock

Umm.. Well.. I was mostly jazzed about this product, and was a little more than disappointed when it didn't work as well as I expected. I truly thing CT makes a stellar product based on other CT's I've used on other weapons like my Glock 23 gen 4 in the back strap configuration (back part of the grip wrapped around the right side of the slide). Works like a charm! On my XDm 3.8, not so much. Kept cutting out on me, changed batteries after less than 100 rounds, and still kept cutting out. I haven't contacted CT as of yet, but still, not a good impression of this model. I'm not saying don't buy it because it's manufactured and supported by Crimson Trace after all, just be aware that not all models are created equal.Also, more than a little disappointing they don't have a back strap version for the 3.8. Would much rather have that that the forward trigger model, so I can use it with a Light Guard. But that's just me, and probably 92.4% of the other users that have these on their Sub XDm. I'd wait until CT finally comes out with the back strap model, which I can only assume they will based on their history.3 Stars for CT because I know they'll stand behind it. Hopefully I just got a lemon. I'll update once I get the situation resolved.Cheers~

It's a good product, but I personally didn't like it. I had it mounted on a Springfield Armory XDm .45 3.8".Perhaps I'm too sensitive to it (in a real defensive situation, I wouldn't notice I'm sure), but the small bump for the laser activation really bothered my finger and I didn't shoot as well with it unless I made a very conscious effort to ignore it. I actually shot better with the sights.It installed well and seemed sturdy. It was pretty close to zero'd in so I didn't bother adjusting it - especially at a short-range defensive distance.It comes with all the tools you would need for installation, cleaning and CT also offers a lifetime battery for users! I've heard great things about their customer service as well.Unfortunately it didn't work out for me, but the guy I sold it to seems to love it!

This one seems to be of very good quality, is compact & nice looking, and at 5 mW, I believe it puts out the maximum brightness allowed by law.The only downside I'm aware of so far, is that I'm having difficulty finding a holster made to fit it.If I wanted to spend the cash, I'd get a model with the laser contained in the grip to eliminate that problem, but the last time I checked they cost about 2X as much, & then what would I do with this one?.

Since the laser is activated by your middle finger when you grip the weapon there is no change in draw or grip.I practice regularly & pray that I'm never in a situation where I'd need to draw or fire my weapon. I will take the extra piece of mind of the added accuracy is a high stress situation though!Fit on the weapon easily and only needed a slight adjustment which was simple to do.

Very impressed with how well this fits. I mounted it on an XDm 5.25 .45. Fits so well you'd think it was made on it at the factory. Laser is very bright. It can't compete with the sun at a distance but indoors and/or at night it can be seen from a very long way. Windage and elevation are easy to adjust with the included hex key.My only con is that the activation button is too easy to activate. Should have more resistance to being pushed. Being a very subjective con, I didn't think it should knock a star off.

It was the wrong one. I have reorder the right one now can't return the first ones. tHey we're Christmas presses . Didn't know they were wrong until presents until Christmas morning. Help!!!!

I took a real chance on this due to the cost (199), although I did my research on different lasers. I love this. I put this on a XDM 3.5. I stays on target and looks and feels like it came mounted from the factory as OEM. Very easy to install it (took 2 minutes). Unless someone gets a lemon, I can't imagine any negative reviews for this (short of it is pricey, but not bad compared to some other brands). As long as I get a good few years use (minus battery usage), I will be very happy with the purchase and am so far.
