HDMI port on tv broke; only input to use was RCA input; this converter solved the problem.

I have an old TV that has only RCA input and a new Roku with HDMI output. This worked with zero issues, true plug and play. Only negative is some text on the screen is a bit unclear but that might not be the converter.

I wanted to connect my Amazon Fire TV stick to my DVD recorder so that I could free up connections on my TV.This converter does the job. The picture quality is definitely not HD quality but, this was expected since the signal is going from digital to analog. While I have had the item less than 24 hours and have only tested it for a short time to make sure it works, I have noticed that how the box sits can affect the quality of the picture. Again, it was never a full HD quality but there were times it was considerably fuzzy and times when it was more clear. I tried different cables and that seemed to make no difference. I believe it is something about the box itself.As I have had it for less than 24 hours I cannot speak to how well it holds up in the long run. I know some reviewers say theirs stopped working in a short amount of time. I wonder if this could be the result of heat damage? Because of this I plan to not have mine powered up if i am not using it.This brings me to the one "major" complaint I have at this time; the USB cable that is provided to power the unit is a bit too short. It would be fine if I were going to plug the cable into my TV but, I am using an AC power adapter plugged into an outlet. Another 12 inches to the cable (MINIMUM) would have been good.

I have an old school CRT TV but I broadcast closed-circuit TV shows from a main computer. I don't watch normal TV and I don't do streaming services. I also just dig how CRTs look, every though they are a bit fuzzy, they still look cool. This thing let me do my HDMI right to the RCA inputs. Supports a ton of resolutions, but I just go with 1024x768 cuz it doesn't matter that much for CRTs, plus if my text gets too small I can even read it on a CRT. One thing that's annoying is that you need a spare USB power for this, I guess it's not powered over the HDMI or anything, so it's kind of a cable squid back there, but no one can see it so whatever. Picture and sync are fine, works just how I expected.

Lasted only 4 hours. Was able to set up the Amazon Fire TV Stick attached directly to the WONLYUS HDMI to CVBS converter, to my Zenith TV using RCA cables. Using the remote, was able to set up free trial of YouTube TV, and watch live TV for a total of less than 4 hours. The WONLYUS unit would work only with USB power.After less than 4 hours of use, the whole thing shut off. I moved the Amazon Fire TV Stick to another TV with HDMI input and Fire TV Stick worked perfectly. Then went back, connected it again to the WONLYUS HDMI to composite back to my older Zenith TV, and the darned converter would not work, in fact it shorted out the entire apparatus. Fortunately the TV reset and is still is working I will call Amazon as it is eligible for return or refund. Will return it if they request it, and hope to get another unit to try.

I have a little old portable TV and I am now able to use my newest Roku with it, I am very happy with it. I have the TV in my sewing room. It is so ashame when you have old things that you can no longer use. I had an old Roku that told me I need to upgrade to get better service , I had an extra Roku but not the right connection. This helped a lot, with the old Roku I had a lot of pausing. With the new connection and Roku there is no pausing at all. Very happy!

Fast response, easy to install and seems to work as promised. I have only used a couple times so far.
