Another tall tale
This is my fourth book by this writer. I'm very impressed with the style of these books. They suit any age of child, and are fun for the parents to read aloud to them as well. In this book, Hannah and her class are taken on another school trip by their teacher. If I was one of the parents of these children, I think I would be very concerned! But this is what makes the books such fun for children, as they have a bit of real life, but also fire up the childrens imaginations. Of course in the story: the children dont just visit a rocket, they end up being sent to the moon, and have hilarious adventures there. Aubrey, as usual up to his tricks: causes the whole incident by pressing a big red button when told not to. Haven't we all met a child like this?I'm very happy with these books, as are my children, and we look forward to the next one in the series.

Another winner by Stuart Simmonds
This is the third book in the series my daughter has loved from start to finish.Once again the book is filled with vibrant, colourful designs that capture the attention of children ages 4 - 9. Although designed for this age group, many younger readers in our family have loved the books too. This book tells the story of Hannah and her friends being shot into outer space and meeting the Moonians (three-eyed creatures) when they land on the surface of the moon. They teach the Moonians a new game which, for children who are fascinated by space and all that it might hold, was a fantastic story to follow. Once again Aubrey was the most popular character in the book in our household for the frustrations he causes. What I believe is so appealing about all of these books is that they are very current and deal with the themes that children are excited about at the moment. Stuart Simmonds takes these themes and weaves them into a wonderful storyline time and again.

Laughing out loud with the kids... again!
I really think these books get funnier as you get further along in the series (or the week)! In "The Trip to the Moon" we get all the crazy characters we have met so far, plus the wonderful Moonians, that Hannah teaches to play football! We (myself and five and eight year old) laughed out loud at the antics between Mr Bishop the teacher and Aubrey - mainly Mr Bishop wanting to strangle his pupil or leave him behind on the moon - not to mention the asides made in the story! As ever, the illustrations work perfectly with the stories and we probably spend as much time looking at the details of what is going on in the pictures as we do reading the story itself. It feels as though you get to know and love the characters even more the more books you read but you could also read this in isolation and still love it! We want more!

Another really lovely bedtime book.
Was so pleased to see more of the Hannah the Spanner books out. We had so enjoyed the previous stories and were not disappointing by the new installments. This story is so cute and cheeky because she doesn't quite follow the rules, and I know my kids are just dying to be like Hannah and have her adventures. They're obsessed with space at the moment so the trip into outer space was a BIG hit, especially with the larger illustrations, they just want to spend hours just looking at all the different details in the pictures... I'm not complaining it keeps them quiet for a while! I especially love the way the day of the week is written on the side of the book, it completely puts a stop to the fuss of which book to choose for the bedtime story. Thank you Stuart Simmonds!

Out of this world!
My son was very happy when he found out I had ordered the next two books in this brilliant series, and I think it would be safe to say that neither of us were disappointed! Once again the illustrations were fantastic and the story was suitable for his age range. Plus we both loved it – as we’re big space fans and like the sci-fi genre. So this appealed to us. Another fun-to-read instalment to the series.

Great book, would highly recommend!
I bought this book for my 6-year-old nephew and we read them together. My nephew and I absolutely loved the illustrations and the story itself was very enjoyable to read often making the two of us laugh together! We have also read the previous books in this series (Hannah the Spanner and the Dancing bear and Hannah the Spanner and the Robot) andI would highly recommend all of them to anyone looking for a few new bedtime stories to read to children, they are all great fun and visually stunning!

Over the moon!
Another brilliant addition to the Hannah the Spanner series! My little cousin is nearly 6 and he absolutely loved this instalment. Laughing away at the kids journey to the moon. These books are not only fantastically written for children but have amazing illustrations for the young ones. And I have to say, I was tickled by the stories too. Looking forward to reading more.

Amazing children's book
This is a great and entertaining story about a group of kids being accidentally blasted into space and having an adventurous school trip on the moon. The illustrations are really eye-catching, detailed and accompany the story really well. The colours and design are bold and exciting and keep you engaged with the story throughout. The space and alien illustrations are my favourite.

Hilarious!
It's so nice to see an author finally allowing children's books to be children's books! My daughter was in absolute awe about Hannah and her friends travelling to the moon and visiting the 'Moonies'! She has made me read it to her every single night since we got it! Her favourite character is Aubrey the Strawberry, whom I hope will not have too much impact on her behaviour lol!

A brilliant read to my Year 3 class
Another great book in the series and my Year 3 class (7-8year olds) thoroughly enjoyed! We had recently covered space in class so we read this at a very appropriate time! The moonians were a hit and they caused a great debate to evolve, about UFO's/extraterrestrial life! Fab illustrations, humour and storyline. We can't wait to read the next one :-)

Great series!
We have bought each of the books in the series and have been really impressed by all of them, my younger brother has loved all of them! The animated drawings are fantastic and appear to bring a different dimension to the book. The story was also ideal for children as it really seems to capture their imagination. My brother hopes there are more books to follow in this series, would definitely recommend!

Illustrations make the the books such a funny and easy read for children!
Purchased this after reading the first two books of the series- such a funny and creative story for children. I would highly recommend as the illustrations make the book such an easy and funny read - my niece is super excited for the next books to come out and find out what fun adventures Hannah will be getting up to next!

Entrancing for kids and great fun to read aloud whilst talking through the amazing illustrations
Another Hannah hit with my nephew (5) and his friends who particularly enjoyed the football match against the Moonians in a crater! As with previous books , very funny storyline working on different levels (love the phone obsessed teenagers on work experience and the vain headmaster!) and fantastic illustrations bringing it all to life.

Another great Hannah the Spanner story
This is the fourth book in the series that we've read, and it's just as good as the first three. Lovely imaginative story, this book hits the spot with children and adults, as some of the jokes are aimed at adults. Loved the teenage work experience girls trying to take selfies on the moon!
