Root Bridges Bird's Nest Fern Plant (Pot Included)

I received a healthy plant with completely green fronds (ferns have fronds, not leaves). The longest frond was 50 cm in length, which is the size mentioned in the product description. The other fronds were slightly shorter, but close in size. I am happy and was genuinely surprised by the quality. Bird's nest ferns can be expensive even in local nurseries. So this was worth the price at Rs. 389.The only concern I had was that the plant was shipped in a rectangular box and the area with the fronds was slightly pressed in because there was no packaging around the fronds. This could have resulted in damage, but luckily it did not. Apart from this, the plant was packed well. A paper towel was stuck with a lot of tape to the top of the pot to prevent the potting mix from spilling out. This is standard across different sellers and sites.I highly recommend buying this plant from Root Bridges and hope they maintain this standard for all orders. If you get this bird's nest fern, I suggest planting it in a shallow bowl-type planter and not a regular pot. They have short roots as they are epiphytic (grow on top of trees) and need more space to grow sideways; a deep pot is not necessary. Also for care: well-draining potting mix with bark or coco chips, keep it moist but not too wet/dry, bright but indirect sunlight, and fertilize with general/seaweed fertilizer occasionally. These plants can grow VERY LARGE over time with good lighting. Google for pictures of large plants.

I bought this plant for decorating my drawing room and it undoubtedly complement the interiors of my room with its beautiful and long apple green coloured fronds.This plant is called Bird’s nest fern due to the circular arrangement of its lush green leaves that looks like a bird’s nest. It’s one of the best and easy to care houseplant as it doesn’t need much sun or any kind of fertilizers. It loves moist soil as it’s a rainforest plant. Also, if you are looking for a plant to be placed in bathroom then this is perfect as there’s moisture in the atmosphere of bathroom and Bird’s nest fern loves it.I received this plant in healthy condition potted in a generic plastic pot filled with coco husk. The size and shape of the plant received was excellent. I would suggest those buying this, try to repot it in a ceramic pot to enrich its beauty. Overall I would say that it’s a great option if you’re looking for an indoor plant.P.S. Received a spider mite infested damaged plant which infected my entire balcony and all other plants and caused them to die. Never buy from this brand/seller unless you want to kill your entire plant collection.
