This ice cube bin is great quality and does exactly what I needed. It’s sturdy, well-made, and holds a good amount of ice, which is perfect for keeping up with my ice maker. We've been having ice wars, the refrigerator ice maker isn't working as well as it used to and I'm done with buying bagged ice. So, I bought good old fashioned ice cube trays and the Rubbermaid bin. This is fantastic - it holds 5 large ice cube trays full of ice - the full size trays, not those small (8 cube trays) but the 16 cube trays! it may even hold more but I have it in the top drawer of my lower freezer and that's all I can finagle in it and I have 4 - 16 cube trays next to it. This Rubbermaid bin is light weight and the plastic material is well made. It's not the cheap plastic that will crack or break, which seems to be what is the norm with stuff nowadays... I can now use as much ice as I want and fill my massive jug with ice and water to my hearts content. And this is top quality and made in the USA, I highly recommend it and it's not overpriced.

Perfect in my freezer, not for ice cubes, but to hold individually wrapped pieces of fish. The container takes up less space than the bags of fish did. I like the soft plastic better than the hard, which would likely crack as it is being pulled out & pushed back in.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: We don’t have an ice maker in our refrigerator. As we get into summer, need more ice! After using a cheap small plastic bowl, I found this. I can only repeat what other reviews have stated - good size, good quality, fit for the job. It is plastic, but seems soundly made and sturdy so far. Recommended! It is the right size for our ice cube trays and, when the trays aren’t cooperating, one can just set them upside down in the ice cube holder and wait for Mr. Gravity to drop them out. (Hint: put a plate or pan lid over it after doing this, then turn the whole thing upside down to let any melted water run out without dumping the cubes.) Finally, this is made in the USA, not China as Amazon states! You can see the Made in USA line on the product label if you enlarge that image enough. A satisfying purchase!

It was what I was looking for I have an outside ice maker and needed a bin to throw the ice in Had to place the bin horizontal or the frig door wouldn’t close. It held ice perfect no freezing inside bin or melting. A Heavy duty plastic never felt like it would break or crack if I ever need another one I will reorder

Exactly what I was looking for. Deep enough, yet fits well into my freezer. After I inadvertently left my original ice bin (that came with the fridge/freezer) in the dishwasher on the drying cycle, it came out absolutely warped! Needless to say, I had to get a replacement. This Rubbermaid bin is the perfect bin that does the job. In the summer time especially, I go through a ton of ice cubes and having that extra storage for the excess cubes is the answer. Rubbermaid is a trusted name and the quality is sturdy and top notch let alone the perfect size for my fridge/freezer. I find it fits better than my original bin.

While looking for an ice cube bin for my freezer, I found a popular brand of food storage containers was selling a freezer-safe container with removable lids. This item was about $8-9 cheaper than the Rubbermaid ice bin so I went with the cheaper item. Mistake! The cheaper containers both cracked within the first couple weeks of use. I came back and bought the Rubbermaid bin and it has been great. Thick, solid plastic that fits nicely along one wall of my freezer compartment. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t have a lid, but it’s great, otherwise.
