Best Litter Mat Hands (Paws?) Down
From now on, this is the only mat I will use for my cat's litter box. Other mats just pool up the kicked out litter, but this one traps it away so it doesn't find it's way all over the floor. Since installing these, I haven't had to sweep litter out of baseboard cracks once, and only require a light sweep every few weeks. Also, being able to pour the cast off litter back into the box isn't a huge savings (maybe 1/10th of an inch of litter) but over time, absolutely worth it, and certainly better than nothing at all (and more wasted litter).

Honeycomb Pattern Opens Paw Pads to Release Trapped Litter
First a reality check. No mat traps all kitty litter and most cats will go out of their way to avoid stepping on any grid type mat. That said this mat has a honeycomb pattern which is perfect for forcing paw pads open to release trapped litter when your cat jumps out and, if strategically placed, lands on the mat. If you aren't seeing any litter in the mat then your cat is jumping over it and you'll want to move it back an inch or two from the entrance to the litter box to make sure kitty has to step on it. You can also orient the mat lengthwise along the cat's favored path of entry to improve litter collection.

This design is the only one that works for clumping litter
After going through many designs of mats the honeycomb is the only one that works.POSITIVE: Works for my three cats with clumping litter and hardwood floors better than any other design.NEGATIVE: Comes folded that takes a few days to loose the bends, has a 1" gap where there is no bottom layer where the opening is. So far neither have been a serious issue.OVERALL: Best bang for the buck. Works as advertised.

I can't believe I didn't get this sooner... extremely absorbent and a necessity for cat owners
Our cat litter box is located in an unused closet within our office space. While this location is secluded and far from many other parts of the house, we would always find litter on the vinyl flooring around our place--sometimes, very far from the litter box. The litter box is located in a carpeted area and we were previously using a rubber mat to prevent cat litter from burying itself deep in the carpet. Long story short, the rubber mat we were using was clearly ineffective, so we turned elsewhere to this honeycomb-style mat.I cannot recommend this mat enough. The honeycomb style and dual-layered nature of the mat allows for collection of fine cat litter that would otherwise be tracked around the house by our cat. There are two layers to the mat-- one is the honeycomb layer and the other is a standard flat layer. This allows the litter is be collected in the recessed "combs" and not be further flicked around the room by the cat. Once the mat is filled, we are able to fold it into a "V" shape and dump the litter back into the cat's litter box, allowing us to reuse litter that would have been previously sucked up by a vacuum. This mat is highly absorbent and catches more litter than our previous rubber mat did; I would estimate that the mess in our closet has been reduced by 75% or more. We will now need to vacuum the closet once every two weeks, rather than the twice weekly amount that we were doing in the past. I would highly recommend this mat for any cat owner who struggles with a messy, litter-tracking feline friend.

Tossed out.
I really wanted this to work for my kitties to help track less litter and I had this a while to give it ample time but this was a no for our home. They actually ended up tracking more as they jumped over the mat. The holes may be too large as it appeared to be uncomfortable for their paws to walk on; which is why they would jump out over it instead of stepping on it, flinging litter everywhere. Also, I noticed after some time, even with regular weekly cleanings, the mat itself started to develop mold due to trapped bacteria on the fabric pieces of the mat, causing bad smells as well. I ended up just tossing this out into the dumpster. Ended up buying a cheaper vinyl mat at Petco and have not had any tracking issues or growths or smells.

A must have
This product works excellently. I have two litter boxes and there seemed to be no solution to litter getting all over the floor. I've had this a couple of days now and it's already caught all of the spare litter that the cats would have gotten all over the house. Definitely does the job and then some. Very happy with this purchase.

Sent a used mat
We use both the large and smaller version of this mat, and they work well, but on this last order they sent a used mat. As soon as I took it out of the plastic, litter spoiled out of the holes in the mat and went everywhere. Really gross.

ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE! GREAT BUY! TIME SAVER! MESS ELIMINATOR!
I was very hesitant to buy these because of the price and I didn't think it'd really make a big difference. I bought 2, 1 grey, 1 black. I have 2 cats and two litter boxes. After years of sweeping or vacuuming up litter from around the litter boxes every single day several times a day I am absolutely astonished! These mats are a miracle! Absolutely NO MORE litter mess all over the house!!!! These mats have some weight to them, they're not cheap or flimsy at all, yet not too heavy, I have major back issues and I can handle them. They are very sturdy, thick, and very easy to clean. You can either vacuum up, dump out or hose off the litter that accumulates every couple of days. Actually I don't need to do it for about a week when the regular house cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, etc, is being done. Also we've had them for several months and they still look brand new even with the cats using them "scratching mats"😂! Shipping was fast, 2 days with prime. I wish I would've gotten these a long time ago but sure glad I have them now! I would've saved a lot of time and hassle! And actually I'm thinking of buying them for the front and back doors of my home to catch the dirt from people's shoes!
