This book is based upon a University Course given by the Author. No real practical applications are discussed. Only FFT and variants are discussed on the book, no reference to Multiple Classification Signal Algorithms (MUSIC) or other super resolution techniques. The mention to Acoustic Energy as an "possible" option to CM socked me, just one line. The book is outdated not treating MEMS sensors. Embedded Edge or other pre-processing technologies are not discussed. The only thing I agree with this book is that Spectral Kurtosis is overrated. The graphs are credited to different sources It looks the author never make his own measures. A book like this should have authoritative own research. Asking a refund today, this book is not worth the money

Best book for Condition Monitoring. Easy to read and clear contents of the approach technique. If you want to understand the basics and master vibration analysis, this is the best book ever , I strongly recommend to anyone who works as an engineer or in maintenance area. Great book

Good investment. Suitable for mechanics (it appears in Cranfield University reading list).
