Sally's Candy Addiction

I love the 2 Sally's Baking Addiction books I have. This one is new to me, and I'm loving the colored photo's and recipes. 192 pages and some very delicious looking and tasting treats. Step by Step instructions, even a beginner can feel accomplished, and I guarantee you people will love your baking and will ask for the recipe. I have received many compliments and recipe requests. I always send them to Amazon to order the book. When making candy I would recommend getting a candy thermometer to take the guesswork out of some of the recipes that suggest having this. The truffles are very good and very easy to make. Thanks Sally for these excellent recipes, tried and true. Thanks for helping me succeed in the kitchen! Since I could not be together to cook and bake for family during the pandemic at Christmas I wanted to make some goodies to send to family members. I gotta say the candied pecans are to die for!!! I did not use almonds (allergies) and I substitued monk sugar for real sugar (diabetics can eat this) and it is now going to be a family holiday treat. I will admit that chocolate recipes have taken me a few tries but I think I got it. Great book with lots of yummy things to make. Easy to follow instructions and the photos are good, too. Highly recommend.

I love this book. I had pre-ordered it back in April and was so happy when it arrived on release day. I have made a few recipes already. The cookies and creme fudge is so very good! The photos are just beautiful in this book and the step by step instructions are easy to follow. So many wonderful candy recipes in here. I just love Sally's style of writing and how much time she puts into her recipes so they are easy for us to make.

The cookbook is a bit cutsey, but the recipes are good. I've only made a few so far, but the end results have been great. There's nothing too complicated here, but that's a good thing. If you like Sally's blog, you'll enjoy her cookbook.

Sally is the greatest! I have two of her cookbooks and have baked numerous things off of her blog. All of her recipes are consistently amazing, easy for both new and experienced bakers/ cooks to follow, and sure to impress all of your family and friends.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cookbook! The pictures are beautiful and all the recipes look so good! I have made a couple of the recipes from this book already and they have turned out perfectly. I can't wait to make more recipes from this book! I love the baking section in the back of the book for those of us who are bakers at heart. I am going to make the milky way cake for my birthday in a couple of weeks!

I've made countless recipes from Sally's blog and her first cookbook. I've only made a couple recipes from this book so far, but they have all turned out great. The pumpkin spice toffee was addicting- we could not stop eating it and I have pretty good self control. I love that she explains some of the things about candy making that make it seem overwhelming. Some of the recipes are more difficult, but she gives enough directions and tips so I feel like I can handle them. I love candy making because it requires more precision than baking so when your product turns out amazing you feel like you accomplished something great. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to make candy that does not have much experience with it

I am so excited to try every recipe in this book! They all look delicious! My husband is excited I bought this book too, because he is the recipient of the treats once they are made. It is easy to follow, very well laid out, and there are pictures for every recipe. I love that not only does she tell you what ingredients you will need, she also tells you what equipment is needed. With candy you need to be ready, so it helps to have everything so organized for the beginner candy maker. I'm glad I purchased this book, especially with the holidays approaching!
