Fantastic coffee, very strong. A good buy, will definitely buy again

This is the second box of Black donkey Coffee roasters I’ve bought I guess that says it all really!I like all or the three flavours in the variety box and that I have a choice but if you like one flavour more than the others you can also get a box with just the one flavour.These work very well in my De’Longhi Dolce Gusto Mini me coffee machine.I like that you get a card with the instructions for each flavour pod which I laminated and leave in my coffee pod storage draw.So much cheaper than the originals and in my opinion just as good if not betterand the fact there is no aluminium in these pods is a real plus point so it’s 5 stars from me.

Slightly confused as the decaf version I received is not branded either on the pods or the packaging. This is surprising as the illustration shows the Black Donkey brand and refers to the firm as roasters which in the context might be taken to imply UK origin, while the plastic bag holding the pods suggests an Italian origin. Having rejecte4 one brand because the pods caused leaks and another because it was too weak it was relief to find these pods did not suffer from from either problem.. The flavour, whilst nothing special, is perfectly acceptable as an everyday coffee.

Not overly impressed. Strength is good. But there’s a weird rubbery smell to the coffee kind of like the smell you get from balloons.

Pleased I purchased the variety pack which offers a choice of 3 fairly similar coffees. The yellow is mild and offers a lasting crema. The red offers a slightly stronger taste, and the grey is somewhere in between. All are very palatable and the pods work very well in the dolce gusto machine. I find myself having a couple of different coffees back to back, since they are all very smooth and do not leave a bitter after taste.I thoroughly recommend them and will certainly be purchasing more. Price wise, they are very comparable with the dolce gusto Nescafé pods.Ditto for comments above, as I have just received my 4th purchase of these coffee pods! I will be submitting a repeat order. Highly delighted.

It is unfortunate to have to leave a poor review for these pods as the flavour is excellent on all 3. Unfortunately I have struggled to use them in my Dulce Gusto machine successfully, as 3 times out of the last 5 the pods have failed; the first time the top of the pod popped off as it was filling with water spraying hot coffee and grounds over me and my kitchen surface. The second time was similar just less dramatic and then the 3rd time (just now) barely any liquid was coming out and then the machine told me it had a "Blocked Head". Thankfully turning it off and on again fixed it, but this means that currently I've found the pods to be 40% compatible with the Nestle Dulce Gusto machine, really very disappointing.

Great taste. A good mix of strengths and flavour varieties from morning wake up to afternoon coffee break. Very rare leakage on pods. A really economical price . Nice job Black Donkey.

Not bad at all. I kinda like the taste of this coffee. I am quite fussy with my decaf coffe that I usuaally get only from starbucks or at home from dolce gusto themself. These compatible ones are a good alternative. The capsules have not broke once with me. I had tried another compatible capsule in the past and the downside was the capsule would busrt....so many that I stopped using them. These ones are reliable
