i had this game as a kid & absolutely loved it. Playing it again brung back great memories. The price was really good & it arrived in perfect condition.

There's over a dozen baseball games on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and this one actually uses the Major League Baseball license. It also happens to be one of the worst, if not outright the very worst baseball game on the NES.Graphically, the game looks fine and I have no issues with the sound. The control is also fine for a primitive baseball game. The mechanics however are an absolute nightmare. Fly balls to the outfield are extremely difficult to catch, and the players throw the ball with extreme slowness. Plays as simple as a routine ground ball to the shortstop give the player no chance to make the out at first due to the slowness of the throwing mechanic. Making any kind of putout can become comically difficult.I get that this game is very nostalgic to anybody that grew up with it, and some gamers probably got really good at this game and mastered the atrocious mechanics. But there are baseball video games on the NES that did get the mechanics of a baseball video game correct, such as Little League World Series, and a game like Major League Baseball does not hold up well in comparison.This game is $5 and I would definitely recommend passing on it.
