Great Bench to Highlight a Butterfly Garden
The media could not be loaded. Purchased May 21, 2019We lost a tree in a snow storm in Atlanta, GA. As if that is hard to believe, it fell on top of my car. So, with the tree removed we had this empty area to fill. A Butterfly Garden was just the thing. To cap the garden we need a small bench for both looks and a place to sit and watch the butterflies This bench at $125 was just the thing. (note: this was in 2019 and imposed US tariffs has the price up at least $100)It was perfect as a place to sit with a beverage at noon or in the evening to watch nature perform a delicate ballet right in front of us. Sturdy and big enough to seat two and fill a small part of a garden. The garden area also helped sell our home and we were sad to leave the pieces behind.! It was a beautiful addition to the landscape! The down side now, is the price.

Excellent patio bench!
I received the bench today and while the packaging looked a little worse for wear, the product was perfect inside. It took me around 40 minutes to assemble, including opening the box and arranging all the pieces. I did assembly on my own too, but used a small bench and the wall of my house to hold the new bench in place while I set the screws.I did not use a power drill; just good old fashioned elbow grease and the enclosed hex keys. My fingers are a bit sore, but I have nearly forgotten that because the bench is so comfortable.I assembled it outside. There is a slight odor; likely from the staining. The bench feels very sturdy. I weigh over 150, but under 200.The instructions aren't all that good. I loosely screwed in the back, then I gently nudged the front brace into place. Then I tightened those six screws starting with the bottom back, the bottom front, then top back. And the website for registering the bench seems defunct. No bother; I'm very happy with my purchase.

A nice bench that will last.
I have owned this bench for a month and am happy with it. It is as pictured, well constructed and easy to assemble. It is fairly light but as long as it holds up. I will try to remember to provide an update in a couple of years.Added March 28, 2015: I have owned the bench for two years now. It has held up fine. It stays outside in the Maine winter, this year under a couple of feet of snow for 3 months. No sign of any rot or softening in the legs (ground contact) or elsewhere.Update August 2017, It has been 4 years and still no rot. I have had issues with paint pealing though. The paint is not to protect it, but to match other decor. I have been using a recommended water based stain over the original rubbed oil.Final update May 2018. I have now owned this bench for 5 years but this may be it's last season. One of the slats in back has rotted where it connects to the seat. I may repair it. The legs are still in good shape.

Really nice-looking, really solid. So worth it!
Love this bench. Bought a couple nice pads to go with and it's just a great little loveseat in my living room, and can be easily brought outside (with a friend to help - it's a bit heavy) for company around the fire ring. Don't have a sofa so this is a nice little inexpensive substitute that really looks lovely in my living room. Works fine for two people to sit on, and I can lie down and rest my back with my legs up on the side rail. I'm only 5'1", though. Anyway, I really think this is a great buy and a super sturdy bench.

Nice Bench
Easy toAssemble should be 5 - because it is simple. Except 1 screw stripped where the Allen wrench goes in. Don’t know why-it’s not like I was slipping out of it- but it was really hard to screw in so it was taking some effort. guess the predrilled hole on that 1 screw hole wasn’t so predrilled. Still - the bench is exactly what I wanted for the spot & I am delighted with it.

Two strikes and you're out - not worth ordering
I ordered one of these benches after thoroughly reading all the reviews. Some recent orders seemed okay while others were poor quality. The size and design of the bench is great, and the eucalyptus wood seems to be a great alternative to more expensive teak. When I received the first box (undamaged) I opened it to find two of the legs had large nicks in them. The back top board had scratches and etchings (as if someone had laid a piece of paper over it and written out a note or grocery list). Because of these damages I decided to return it and had to spend 25 minutes trying to get it all back in the box, tape it (it is quite heavy so a lot of tape is needed to ship it), and lug it to the car to haul back to UPS. Two days ago the replacement came and is in worse shape. The manufacturer has applied wood putty in several places on the front and back of the arm/sides which will not weather along with the wood. In time I'd end up with a gray bench with orange spots. I think that is indicative of the sloppy quality control and overall shoddy workmanship. They seem to be a good deal, but I'm not willing to try #3 and end up in the same position (tomorrow) of having to tape it up and haul it back to UPS. I strongly recommend you NOT purchase this bench or (assuming similar quality on other pieces) anything from this manufacturer. When I think of the resources to ship this 'stuff' from Asia, then to Amazon, then to my home, then back to Amazon I am embarrassed and ashamed for our environment. Zero stars would have been more fitting for BOTH benches I received.

This will do.
This is NOT teak. Don't buy it with teak expectations.Con: stained with some kind of red stain. I, personally, would have preferred raw/sanded wood.Bought some chairs to go with this. The arm rest of the chairs are much thinner. If the chairs had been built to the same size, I would have been happy with them. This thing is easy to put together. I sawed off the right angle on one of the allen wrenches and used it in my drill/driver. Made things go lots quicker. The bench is sturdy and feels like it will last a longish time.

The perfect front porch bench
I like my new front porch bench! It was easy to assemble in just 30 min. Before I assembled it, I decided to give it a three coat sealer, though it was not necessary. I just wanted the extra weather protection since it is outdoors.
