DF1000- Heavy Duty Olympic Weight Bench by Deltech Fitness- 750 lb Capacity- Leg Developer Included

First review disappeared so I'll try again, shorter this time.Nice bench, packaging not so good.

I am just getting back into lifting and am almost 60, so I won't be working with 200+ lbs. on the bar, probably not even 75lbs. I would say the Deltech bench is as close to gym quality as you can get without spending a great deal more money. It came in 2 boxes which made it far more manageable than 1 and everything was nicely packed, all parts came out looking pristine. Fit and finish are top notch, the paint has body so it won't scratch easily. The back and seat cushions actually cushion and are built to take repeated use. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and not difficult at all. This bench is rock solid! I tried a Weider 265 ( which was $20+ more) & was able to see the quality of the build of the bench and its overall design. This Deltech bench made that Weider bench look and work like a toy - Fisher Price like by comparison (nothing against Fisher Price).I am 5'8" 225 and lift with the seat inclined and find the bar position directly overhead, with the supports at their highest position. Perhaps some one substantially larger may find that arrangement a bit tight and may have to always have the seat back flat. There are only two positions for the back and the design is more for strength and durability as opposed to variability with more incline angles. You will not worry that the incline mechanism will give out - it would be impossible. To that point I wrapped the support bar where the seat back rests on it with some adhesive backed neoprene like foam to protect the paint on the bar, but it also serves to reduce the little bit of play of the seat back when you are lifting with arms or legs. My legs rest easily on the floor when lifting so the bench height seems to work well at least for me.Deltech is based in Louisville KY and you can reach them by phone which I did. This bench is made in China but as I understand it all units go to Louisville and then to buyers. Mine came via Fedex and as I had indicated above came in excellent condition. I wasn't looking to build a pro level gym in my house, I just didn't want to waste my money and end up not using it. I would recommend this bench to anyone!

I am an intermediate weight lifter and was tired of driving to the gym so I decided it was time to buy my own equipment and work out from the comfort of home. The boxes arrived in ok shape and was easy to put together. The bench is a solid bench with little left to be desired. It is a little tall, but I just put plate weights under my feet and it works. The incline is a little cumbersome but once you know the technique it works just fine. If you are super picky, don't buy a combo bench... The only thing that it was a little frustrating was that the leg attachment was made for 1" plates. However, this was an easy fix... One email to customer support and the 2" attachment was shipped and received within a few days. Overall, I happy with the bench.

The quality is excellent, nothing comes close for home gym equipment in the 300 dollar range. My only gripe was one of the shipping boxes came extremely beat up, I was worried something had fallen out, fortunately all parts were there.

There are some sharp edges that needed filing down. The bench is too high for average person {5'8" to 5'10"}. The incline press doesn't allow you to get under the rack to start off with the press, you have to do a partial pull-over. Had to do some shiming and and bending on bracket for seat and back to get the non-shifting tight effect. If there were a couple of more brackets for seat/back you could adjust for position under rack. Also the cross bar brackets should have two more positions to adjust the angle if you shifted the seat/back toward or away from rack. Placing small foot stools on either side of bench allows you to keep feet flat for exercise. Using less weight on incline position allows you to perform that exercise. Four more plates under bench and on rack towers would have eliminated these problems. All in all the setup is sound and works with intermediate length and full length Olympic bars. I don't know if it could actually sustain 750 pounds capacity, but will probably work with much more weight than the average user will ever work with. Not bad for the price. Much better than big box store benches. As with everything else it was built in China.

Paid Amazon guy 20$ to help me carry to the third floor. Got the 350 lb and 45 lb bar at dicks sporting. Went from normal human to super saiyan 2 gohan when he fought cell in 3 months and 2 weeks. Getting ready for the tournament of power LFG

This is a quality bench. Price is very reasonable. Easy enough to put together. It was obviously not treated with care during shipment as another reviewer noted.The box was tossed around enough that it resulted in scratched paint along the bottom of the bench. This does not bother me enough to return it.Only other issue is the spacing for the bar. It is for an olympic bar. I did not realize this. I use reg bar and reg plates. I will figure a way to make it work.I can't comment on the leg extension attachment as I have yet to use it.
